Explosion at Soufriere volcano in Montserrat

BRADES, Montserrat, CMC – The Montserrat Volcano Observatory (MVO) Friday said there had been an explosion within the Soufriere Hills volcano, sending plumes of ash more than 20,000 feet in the air.

In a brief statement, MVO said that the event occurred at 1:49 pm, lasting seven minutes and sending pyroclastic flows mainly to the west of the volcano “rapidly reaching Plymouth (the old capital) and spreading across the sea for around 500 miles”.

It said that short pyroclastic flows also travelled down Tyers Ghaut to the northwest and Whites Ghaut to the northeast of the island.

“A plume rose rapidly to 21,000 ft. There were no lapilli or ash fallout in inhabited regions due to an easterly wind direction, MVO said.

The volcano has been active since it roared back to life in 1995.

@ATL, if its not God’s work, then whose work is it?

Isn’t HE the all Powerful God? Can’t He prevent children and babies from dying a terrible death under mountain of concrete?

Why would God allow such things to happen? Just to prove a point that it is “the end of time?” Why would Jesus coming be a cause for such terrible pain? Oh, I forget, it hasn’t happen to you yet. It happen to other people, so I guess it’s ok. It is nice to see other people suffer and proclaim its the end of time while we hide behind our bible and religiosity.

Those are natural phenomena, happening for millions of years even before the dawn of humanity. It has nothing to do with Jesus.

Can u read and understand what u read? did i say that was Gods work? i said thats what the bible says on that matter. thats what i read from the BIBLE. fools like u that make satan look good. (James 1:13) When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. if u so have answer for everything show it to me from the bible.

When the earthquake happened in Haiti, many people on this blog said it was God punishing the Haitians because they had made pact with the Devil, were working to much voodoo, were generally wicked people and so on and so on.

Now there is a volcano eruption in Montserrat, it is the last days and Jesus is coming. LMAO.

These people, who seems to be in the mind of God and had written His job description for Him, never cease to amaze me.

Consider, for example, the answer Jesus gave to some questions raised by his disciples. Three days before Jesus died, they asked him: “What will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?” (Matthew 24:3) In reply, Jesus told of specific world events and situations that would clearly show that this ungodly system had entered its last days.
“Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.” (Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:4
“There will be food shortages.” (Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:5, 6, 8)
    Pestilences.” (Luke 21:11; Revelation 6:8)
    “Men will be . . . lovers of money.” (2 Timothy 3:2
“Having no natural affection.” (2 Timothy 3:3)
“There will be great earthquakes.” (Luke 21:11) According to the U.S. Geological Survey, since 1990 alone an average of 17 earthquakes per year have been powerful enough to damage buildings and crack the ground. And on an average, earthquakes strong enough to cause total destruction of buildings have occurred yearly. Another source states: “Earthquakes have claimed hundreds of thousands of lives in the last 100 years and improvements in technology have only slightly reduced the death toll. My people lets read our bible and pray. Jesus is coming for his people soon.
