Search ongoing for missing fisherman

Police and community members are continuing their search for a Petite Savanne man who went missing after falling off rocks in that area during a fishing expedition on November 4.

Police Spokesman Claude Weekes told Dominica News Online that 46-year-old Moses Detouche left his home at about 10:30 a.m. that day and has not been seen since. The incident reportedly occurred at about 1 p.m.

“He went to fish on the rocks, while there he fell off the rocks and fell into the sea. Of course, he was in distress. The police coast guard and the community and others have been in search for him since,” Weekes said.

Reports are that Detouche was last seen by another fisherman – Jonathan Darroux – who was fishing in the area at the time. Darroux had seen Detouche appearing lifeless in the sea moments after attending to a fish he (Darroux) had caught, reports say. He never saw him again.

Dominica News Online will bring details as it becomes available.

    I don’t know if the man is dead, but to his family i say this is a sad situation and hold strong God knows best. To those people who use this site to throw words at each other I say shame on you! This is a place where people come and share how they feel about a situation, but as always some people find that this is not enough and have to go the extra mile to put as we say a little flavor in it. All you people like too much row row and its time we spread a little love around to each other.

    And dont even think of giving some smart remark now

    you need to stop ur non sense who ever told u that she is the Queen of the Heavens. where in the bible states that and as a matter of fact: Exodus chp 11 13 But their altars YOU people are to pull down, and their sacred pillars YOU are to shatter, and their sacred poles YOU are to cut down. 14 For you must not prostrate yourself to another god, because Jehovah, whose name is Jealous, he is a jealous God;

    NO ONE GOES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH JESUS CHRIST NOT MARY

    @Karkabeff:

    …Full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen!
    See! You caused me to pray the Hail Mary at this moment. Consider how many Catholics of all who read this message whom you caused to pray the Hail Mary. Blessings and graces abound on you.
    Whoever you are, you are a person who has pleased my heart and no doubt the heart of other Catholic Christians. Keep in mind we are Christians, baptized in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen! God blest our baptism which no one can change or sever. God never rescinds His blessing. Once a baptized Catholic, always a baptized Catholic to eternity.

    The Mother of God, The Ever Blessed Virgin Mary, the Queen of Heaven and earth, the latter, the renewed world to come, must be pleased with you. She loves us all with no preference. She is praying for us and others in the world that one day when God calls us for our eternal judgment, we will be with her in Heaven.
    It is stated that she is busy going about protecting Her Blessed Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ’s Kingdom on earth. I have always thought that God had a mission for her when He chose her among all women to bear His Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

    On the subject matter, it is indeed strange how people fall off rocks and fall in water and they are not found. God knows how it happened and what happened to them. So does the Mother of God who inspired you to pray the Hail Mary… Actually, this inspiration came primarily from God.

    Our Lady, as we Catholics loving call her, reminds us through the visionaries to: “Pray, Pray, Pray, dear children.” It is actually a message for every living person in the world. God does not discriminate as she speaks through the Holy Spirit.
    Among a few inspired and designated names, she is, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary and Queen of Peace.

    One of her messages: “Dear children, I invite you for your individual conversion. This time is for you! Without you God’s plan cannot be realized. Dear children grow day by day closer to God through prayer.”
    I GIVE YOU THE WEAPON AGAINST YOUR GOLIATH. HERE ARE YOUR LITTLE STONES:

    1. Prayer with the heart: Rosary
    2: Eucharist
    3. Holy Bible
    4 Fasting – Tuesdays and Fridays. She also said, bread and water if you can.
    5. Monthly Confession

    Whenever she appears to the visionaries she greets them with: “Praised be Jesus, my dear children…” She says: “My Son Jesus sent me.” She prays the Our Father with them. Obviously, she does not pray the Hail Mary with them. The visionary said when they are praying the Hail Mary, she just smiles. Then after, she states her message. When she leaves, she makes “The Sign of the Cross.”
    She speaks through the Holy Spirit. She is a gracious lady. The visionaries said her beauty is indescribable.

    God bless you!

    I pray they find the young man this is too sad. Lately these suspicious drownings have really tormented families, to make matters worse no body to bury. I think this is the third person. I don’t believe the young woman was found, and then the young boy, now this man. God alone knows. I pray God gives the family the courage to go on. He gives us no more than we can bear. He is still God thorugh it all.
