Six believed dead in California shooting

Nine people were shot at a California religious college Monday, and Oakland police “believe that six have been pronounced dead,” a police official said.

“We believe the suspect is in custody,” Oakland Police Sgt. Christopher Bolton said. “He was arrested in a nearby city.”

Highland Hospital spokeswoman Jerri Applegate told KGO-TV that five shooting victims were being treated there. She gave no information on their conditions, saying that was a police matter.

Another wakeup call, and America will once again sleep right through it. How many more school and workplace shootings will it take for them to get the message?

This is the culture Dominicans want, the scum of American culture. Don’t get a grip on yourselves and you will see what will happen. You people better start praying with your eyes open and to the right God too.

Teenagers will bring guns into schools down here, it’s just a matter of time. No amount of Jesus can do sh*t for you. God help those who help themselves. Until this disease of an act called the Education Act be revised and give back the powers to the authorities rather than some of these bastard children things will never be the same again.

Dear “Muslim,” aren’t you, by your choice of words (leaving out one letter doesn’t help), encouraging a culture of disrespect?

“Muslim,” the fact remains true, that Jesus will bring more peace than Koran ever will. The Bible has a higher moral standard than the Koran. If you are low on morals, “hola” Jesus will give you a hook-up.

This desease is affecting and infecting all schools all over the world. We must be thankful in some ways that it has not escalted to that level in our lovely Dominica. But if we do not bend our knees and pray and support the responsible authorities in the fight to eradicate that desease, we may soon be faced with it.

Please Lord protect our children as they strive to learn.

Thanks so much for your sensible comment. With the upsurge in crime here recently people are comparing Dominica with these metropolitan countries and thier crime rates. Every so often you hear of these mass killings. I understand that people may try to rob to get some money and support themselves (albeit it is wrong) but what is the purpose of these hate crimes? Thank God for my lovely Dominica and shame on those criminals trying to spoil our name.

While some are praying perhaps it would be helpful if we ban the guns and stop pampering murderers. It would help also if we started acting with courtesy and consideration for others including our children so that the weaker minded ones do not develop hatred in their hearts. Another thing that is killing love is the competitive mentality that we support internationally. Only one wins the rest are left to either lick their wounds or inflict wounds on others. Prayer without action is worthless. Keep on doing what you are doing and you will keep on getting what you are getting. God helps those who help themselves.
