Dominica Brewery & Beverages Ltd (DBBL) this morning launched the first ever Kubuli Fest, described as a Family and Friends Fun Day to be held at Macoucherie Beach on Sunday, July 31 from 11 am.
According to event coordinator, Val ‘Young Bull’ Cuffy, the event will feature exclusively local talent and will be aimed at exposing that talent further, but most importantly ensuring that families and friends can enjoy a day of responsible fun and activities.
“We want to encourage as many persons as possible, throughout the length and breadth of Dominica, to join us at Macoucherie beach. It’s all about you the people coming out to celebrate in a very nice atmosphere. We are going to create something for the kids, the family, things that everyone can enjoy. There will be activities for everyone,” Cuffy said.
General Manager of DBBL, Lynford Guthrie, said that the event is only the first installment as the company will seek to host Kubuli Fest annually.
Guthrie remarked, “The idea behind this project is to conceptualize and execute an event that is new and different, an event that we can brand as our own and make it our own and make it an annual event on the entertainment calendar. We are pleased about it because we see it as a model of a paradigm shift from the status quo.”
The event will feature some of Dominica’s most prominent bands, including WCK, Fanatik, Ncore, Digital Vibes alongside the Genesis Steel Orchestra and will be accessible to the entire public for a contribution of $10 E.C, payable upon entry.
