Bradley Manning, the US soldier accused of giving classified US documents to WikiLeaks, appeared in a military court for the first time at the start of a hearing into his case.
The hearing, taking place at the courthouse in Fort Meade, Maryland, is not to determine Manning’s guilt or innocence but to review the evidence and charges.
An investigating officer will then recommend whether to move the case to a court-martial.

I read the entire story from this popular international media house aljarzerra. The interesting thing about this issue is the FACT that the AMERICAN authorities have strted the process of investigation into the source of the information and validity or lack thereog of it that was submitted to WIKILEAKS.
Im of the fervent view that the Dominican Government must take a very close look at our laws to see if ACTIONS OF A LEGAL NATURE can be taken against ALL those nationals/residents etc who have submitted very contentious articles and bodies of information to wikileaks. The alegations which are purported to come from our own people does have NATIONAL SECURITY IMPLICATIONS. It also seeks to undermine the name of our country and this government does have a MORAL DUTY to get to the bottom of this; there failure to do so can only mean that they are GUILTY as charged. I honestly dont think that they are ; call my view singing for supper if you so wish but I will stand by my convictions and give The Skerrit led Administration the benefit of the doubt.
The commonly held view is that irreparable damage would have been done to our country’s good name if the government takes such lightly.

Haven’t I heard this phrase before”irreparable damage”? It was Tony Asstaphans who uttered these words speaking of the allegations that people like him and the labor party made of the UWP in 2000. His assertion was that if these allegations were not investigated and dealt with they could cause irreparable damage. Remember who led the prayers for the labor party against corruption? YES. It was none other than ROOSEVELT SKERRIT. We all know too what happened to the corruption investigation and who conducted it and the excuse of needing forensic assistance. How quickly we forget but LIFE IS A CYCLE and we must all remember that. We want to point fingers at people but do not want any pointing at us. The lesson is WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

But the question is WHY HAVE NOT THE UWP LEADERSHIP taken MR ASTAPHANS to court for what they may consider to be LIES ? This genius-lawyer has challenged them all the time to do so and he has repeated his allegations aginst them and they cannot take him to court for DEFAMATION.
HOWEVER IS POOR COR-KORM the suing. Dont you think that they would earn a bigger PAY DAY if they sue TONY who has MILLIONS and he has made far more damaging allegations . for a longer period against UWP ETC?
