All school children under 16 wishing to attend the 3rd Digicel Test – W.I. VS India – will enter the Windsor Park Sports Stadium absolutely free of charge on July 6th, 7th and 8th, 2011.
In order to gain entrance to the Test on Days 1, 2 and 3, school principals simply have to write a letter to the Dominica Cricket Association (DCA) on the school letterhead indicating which day(s) they would like to attend as a group and identify the number of students (under 16) and the number of teachers accompanying them.
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) uses a ratio of 1 teacher to 10 students and a smaller ratio if the students are challenged. Once the letter is received and bears the principal’s signature together with contact information, tickets will be made available to the school. The DCA will, in turn, contact the respective school principals to indicate when the tickets can be collected.
Tickets for the 3rd Digicel Test, West Indies v India, went on sale from Tuesday, June 14th, 2011 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium Ticket Booth. Tickets can be purchased Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Other incentives for the five-day duration of the Test include specials for persons who were born before June 24th 1950 (the start date of the famous Test at Lord’s when West Indies won for the first time in England) and children under 16 years accompanied by a parent. Both categories of persons will also enter free. When they arrive at the ticket booth, they need only present a valid photo ID in order to collect their free tickets for the game.
A limited number of tickets have been assigned for the special promotions and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
