The Government of Dominica with support from the United Nations Development Program continues the certification training course on the Guide to the Dominica Housing Standards derived from the Dominica Building Guidelines.

The training will focus on the best practices in conducting Post Hurricane Maria renovations, reconstruction of residential buildings and guide in resilient building practices.

Next week’s training will be held at

  • Joseph on Monday, 27th November 2017 – at the Baptist Church on the highway
  • Grand Bay on Wednesday 29th November 2017 at the Grand Bay Credit Union
  • LaPlaine on Thursday 30th November 2017 at the LaPlaine Catholic Church Hall

Builders, foremen, contractors, architects and homeowners in the areas are asked to register quickly as space is filling up. Registration forms are available at the following locations:

Come and learn how to build and repair houses back better and stronger. Training begins at 9:00 a.m. at all locations. Bus Registration # H8607 driven by Jimmy Stedman will be available at 7:30 a.m. on 30th November to transport participants from Delices, Boetica and Laronde, Grand Fond, Riviere Cyrique and Morne Jaune to Laplaine for the training.
