Students planning to commence studies at the Dominica State College this academic year are invited to apply for the Marcel Djamala Fontaine Scholarship. Applications forms can be collected from the Dominica State College, the Cultural Division at the Old Mill Cultural Centre or downloaded from the Cultural Division’s website.

The scholarship will provide funds towards the cost of tuition fees, books and transportation for one student. The successful applicant will be awarded a maximum of EC$2,700 per year for two years subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Applicants must be a member of a cultural organization or group or otherwise demonstrate some involvement in the arts and culture and must meet the criteria for admission to the Dominica State College.

Applications should include:

  • completed application form,
  • photocopy of ID or passport page

Applications should be addressed to the Marcel Djamala Fontaine Scholarship Committee c/o Cultural Division, Old Mill Cultural Centre, Canefield and should reach the Cultural Division by August 5, 2016.

The successful candidate will be required to implement a cultural project or undertake an internship with the Cultural Division or other cultural institution by the end of the 2016-17 academic year.
