Eight calypsonians will be trying to win the title this year but in order to do so, they will have to beat 2012 monarch and five-time winner, Dice.
The eight challengers are Karessah, Electra, Black Diamond, Deros, Ras Kelly, Daddy Chess, Webb and Bobb.
Another finalist , Ghetto Prince, will not be performing this evening as he is now recuperating in hospital from emergency surgery early Saturday morning.
The show starts at 8.30 pm.
Viewers will be able to log in from 8 o’clock at a cost of US$19.99.
