ALIVE WORD: If we forget God Part 2

The Richardsons

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” –Psalm 33:12

Saints of God, God has given us power and authority and with God all things are possible.  It is time for change to take place for the better and we the people of God can make a difference, not only by praying and fasting but by living in accordance with the Word of God.  We are the ones whose prayers avail much and make a difference. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). The healing we need in our land depends on our prayers. God is depending on us, His people, to humble ourselves and pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, so that He can heal our land.

Thank God for the people who have answered the call to really intercede on behalf of our territory.  But if we truly want to see positive changes in our territory the answer is consistent and fervent warfare prayer and fasting.  Our fight is not with people.  “For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotism, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.”  Ephesians 6:12

Sometimes you ask someone if they are a Christian and they tell you they go to church, they do this and that in the church, they take Holy Communion but they cannot say they are Born-again.  It’s one thing to be religious and it’s another thing to have a relationship with God.  God is looking for a people who have put their hands to the plough and are determined not to look back.  “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” St. Matthew 7:21  Have you answered the call?

God help us in the body of Christ to realize that time is short. Many times when the enemy is busy planning his strategies of destruction, many Christians cannot see it in the Spirit or hear the warning from God to pray because they’re busy fighting against each other.  In some churches there’s no unity because some of the members are not talking to each other and refusing to forgive each other, hindering the prayers from being answered. Some pastors are not talking to the members and vice versa. Lord have mercy on us and help us to wake up. Our prayers can make a difference. There are enough of us in each territory to turn that territory around for God. If each of us will do what God has called us to do, many lives will be won and transformed for the kingdom of God.  This is no time to play church.  We cannot afford to tell others to live for the Lord if we are not doing so ourselves.

Do not allow material things to separate you from the Lord.  For when we leave this world we will take nothing with us.  Do not allow unforgiveness, bitterness and deceit to keep you out of heaven.  “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”  Hebrews 9:27  Have you forgotten God?  People of the Virgin Islands let us all take heed from the prophet Amos and “Prepare to meet our God”  Amos 12:4b

We were created to love and serve God. “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me” (Exodus 20:5). “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry” (1 Corinthians 10:14).

The question to you today is, ”Who are you serving?” If you’re not serving the true and living God, I admonish you today to repent and ask Jesus Christ to be your Saviour and Lord. For Jesus Christ is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. Do not be deceived. Mohamed cannot save you; Haile Salassi cannot save you; Buddha cannot save you. Satanists, witches, warlocks, witch doctors, Satan cannot save you. He can only kill, steal, and destroy. The only way to God is through Jesus Christ His Son. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Jesus Christ can give you life today.

If you have backslidden, I encourage you today to come back to Him. Jesus Christ loves you, and He cares. It doesn’t matter what people think or what people say about you, it’s what Jesus says that matters. He says that if you come unto Him, He will not cast you out. “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).

Only by the mercies of God are we alive today. For God has brought us all as a people and a territory a mighty long way. He has blessed us and He has kept us. Saints of God we must step up our fasting and praying.  We must make a conscious effort to talk less and pray more.  “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”  Proverbs 18:21

Saints of God, pray for your nation, your people, and your family. Cover them with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ but more important if you profess to be a Christian live a life of purity, holiness and righteousness so that others may see Jesus Christ in you and God will be glorified.  Remember, we are the only Bible that some people every read.  We cannot afford to forget God.

The line that I like most of all, is the one that says: Remember that we are the only Bible some people ever read. I embrace that Truth. And that is why I would like to encourage those of us who truly know God, by the indwelling of His Holy Spirit, to simply allow Him to demonstrate His Love through us. The key to this achievement is obedience, humility, and trust. Pride in us is a no, no. It is the same as self-righteousness–the reason God needed to discipline Job’s conducts and attitude as He allowed Satan to buffet him.

Just before His Crucifixion Jesus was in distress, causing Him to pray to the Father, asking Him to take that bitter cup away from Him. But Jesus realized that what He was about to do, was first of all, for the sake of the grief that our nature of sin was causing to our God of Spirit, Holiness, and Truth, because He is unable to tolerate our sinful nature. And so, because of His great Love for the Father, Jesus simply humbled and obeyed Almighty God, as He said: Nevertheless, not my Will but Yours.

Jesus was saying to Almighty God: What I am about to do is not something I would choose to do, but because it is what You, Father, wants me to do; so I am willing. We need to allow God to do His Will through our virtue of of trust, humility, and our character of obedience.

A pastor of my Church denomination, who writes in a Christian Magazine column, warns us about indulging ourselves in what he called churchianity and religiosity. He tells us that God wants nothing to do with those two concepts. The time has come for every one of us to start wanting to learn what our relationship with God, by faith in Jesus Christ is about, through the teachings and guidance of His Holy Spirit.

But most of all we need to remember to be patient with those who still live with the carnal mind, not being able to see, hear, and understanding anything that God is demonstrating through us. But those people are the first to criticize and belittle everything that we do and say. It is our responsibility to call on God’s mercy and compassion, because of His great Love in the Person of Jesus Christ on behalf of those people.

Instead of putting them aside, or criticizing their conducts and attitude, let us intercede on their behalf, that by His Holy Spirit, God will one day open up the minds, the ears, the eyes, and to awaken the soul of such people, that they will come to experience Spiritual hunger.

It is impossible that those who are hungry not desire to eat. Those of us who know the fulfillment of the Bread of Life, in Jesus Christ, let us maintain hope, that the rest of us, who have not yet eaten this True Food, will someday experience Spiritual hunger, the hunger that will cause them to crave for the Bread of Life –the Flesh and Blood of Jesus Christ. With that kind of hunger it is impossible for us to forget God, who feeds us with that Special Bread, by our faith in Jesus Christ.

Readers of DNO let us pray for our Nation Dominica and what ever Country we are from . Please read the above article more than once. The Richardson touched on most of the things that prevents our prayers from being heard. Let us sow the seeds of love because love counquers all and let us extend our hands to those who are falling. Stop pretending that we are better than others. Let us stop play church. Let us all unite in the fight for bringing persons to free Salvation that only being born again that we can receive. I will highlight from the article above the following:

“If you have backslidden, I encourage you today to come back to Him. Jesus Christ loves you, and He cares. It doesn’t matter what people think or what people say about you, it’s what Jesus says that matters. He says that if you come unto Him, He will not cast you out. “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).”

“Do not allow material things to separate you from the Lord. For when we leave this world we will take nothing with us. Do not allow unforgiveness, bitterness and deceit to keep you out of heaven. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27 Have you forgotten God? People of the Virgin Islands let us all take heed from the prophet Amos and “Prepare to meet our God” Amos 12:4b (Not Just V Island but all the Nations)”

Read the other paragraphs following. What a well written article.
