ALIVE WORD: Escape the coming judgment (part 2)

The Richardsons

“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”  – Ecclesiastes 12:14

God is looking for a people who will live holy lives and stand in the gap.  He is looking for His righteous ones to live holy lives and intercede on behalf of this land.

Saints of God, God is calling us to be the lights in this world of darkness.  Yes, it is true that Jesus Christ is the perfect example but we are the only Bible that some read.  God is calling us to be lights of the world and salt of the earth.  No matter what we do, people will talk but we must be careful that the lives we live do not turn people away from Jesus Christ.  “Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.  For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.”  1 Peter 3:16-17

We are to love our neighbor as ourselves.  If we would not like someone to do something to us, we should not do it to them.  For what we sow, we reap.  It’s just a matter of time.

God knows and hears and sees all things.  God is not fooled and He keeps perfect records.  He knows our hearts.  Yes, God is a merciful God and it is not His will that any of us perish.  However, we should not trample on the mercies of God.  “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9

Perilous times are ahead in this land.  This is neither the time nor the hour for us to be playing with our souls or taking our relationship with Jesus Christ lightly.  Now more than ever we need to examine our hearts.  Sometimes we are very good at seeing what is wrong with everyone else but it is time for us to take introspection and examine our hearts using the Word of God as our guide.  When we realize that we are not walking or talking right or we are walking in the flesh instead of walking in the Spirit we need to immediately repent and get right with God.  God wants you to escape the coming judgment.

The days of Ananias and Sapphira are here.  They lied and as a result they both dropped dead.  Sin, unrepented has consequences.  People sometimes see lying as just a simple sin but it caused Ananias and Sapphira their lives.  “Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.  And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.”  Acts 5:10-11  The word of God tells us that after they dropped dead fear came on the church.

God is a righteous judge.  His judgment is right and it is fair.  “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”  Galatians 6:8

Saints of God, let us individually and collectively, seek God diligently, asking Him to search us, to cleanse us, to create in us clean hearts.  Let us walk daily in the Spirit and lift up the name of Jesus in our walk and manner of conversation.  We know not the day or the hour when Jesus Christ will come or call.  Let us do all we can to live holy lives and do what God has called us to do.

Yes indeed Pastor Richardson, we need to walk in the Spirit. Except that the majority of us are not aware of this truth. To walk in the Spirit, one must have the Life of the Spirit. But how can people attain Life in the Spirit if they do not apply faith.

We claim to be Christians, saying that we believe in God, by faith in Jesus Christ. But saying I believe is not enough. It is only when we begin to apply faith, that we are able to display Light–the stature of Love in us; and to demonstrate the attitude and conducts of Love with an enlightenment that enchants the minds of our observers, like salt enchants the flavor of a meat or fish dinner, the reason every person at the dinner table would lick their plate clean.

Meat or fish without the appropriate measure of salt is tasteless, just the way we, who are called to represent the salt of the earth; if our salt is without form or flavor, observers will see the deformation and tastelessness in our attitude and conducts.

The Holy Bible is the Word of God, in Jesus Christ. But unless we allow faith to provoke the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit in us, we will read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation only to forget what the chapter, the book, and the whole Bible, has said, by the time we are finished reading it. But the biggest problem is that the majority of us are not even reading the Bible, much more to study it. Our dependence on the preaching and teachings of our church pastors and priests is the worst mistake we are making as Christians.

Why the mishap of maintaining God’s Ways and His Word in our lives? Because we need faith to cause us to believe; then we are able to receive, and we will conceive. Having conceived we will give birth, and the Life that we reproduce is the Life of Love–the nature of God, who is of Spirit and Truth.

From here onwards, by faith and trust in the teachings and guidance of God’s Holy Spirit, hope causes us to press on to the fullness of Life, as we walk and grow in Love–the Life of our awakened soul–Light, the stature of God’s Holy Spirit, who is teaching and guiding us to practice Life–our Salvation, the promise of God Almighty for evermore, because of the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ.

We walk around through a physical body–the Lamp-stand of the Light in our soul–to our observers. And we witness or speak with an essence of enchantment to our listeners, like salt is the primary season-er to a dull flavored piece of meat.
