She is working voodoo on my friend

Dear Bella: I don’t know if this is the kind of story you publish because I’ve only been reading your article for a short while, but I am at the end of the rope and I could use some help.

I have a friend who got mixed up with the wrong girl and now she’s using his money to do voodoo to keep him.

I have watched this young man work so hard for everything he has and now because of this with his baby’s mama he’s not happy in his own home. I’ve always heard about voodoo but up until now I never believed people actually did that sort of thing.

The young lady is just as wicked. This man work hard to take care of his family and he’s the sole provider for his little girl. I tried talking to him but all he can say is “I’m just going to let it play out” but Bella, from what I read online, that sort of black magic the girl is doing is nothing to let play out.

I can’t go into too much details because I was told about this in secrecy but every time I see him it breaks my heart to see him so miserable and I want to help but all I can do is suggest he starts going to church and pray.

Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Ms. T

Dear Ms. T:

You’re accusing this young lady of practicing voodoo to tie this man, but what you have not explained is how. You seem convinced but you also need to convince me that this young lady is indeed doing this voodoo thing. I need more details in order for me to pass any judgment.

As you said, this young man is your friend, so nothing is wrong in looking out for your friend. It is good that you have given him advice. That’s the most you should do. Ensure you keep out of his relationship because you do not want to cause further problems for him.

He is old enough to learn. If indeed this young lady is practicing voodoo, this would be more reason to stay far from her and continue to be a friend.

In the meantime, all you can do is pray for him, but if there is no good reason to judge this young lady you must say a prayer for yourself.

Bella

My family origins is in Dominica. I visited there as a young child and I continue to hear so many voodoo stories. This is why I will never ever put my feet on that Island. Unfortunately there are many many many other people who feel this way!!! I am disappointed that I cant feel comfortable to go see my family.

Hi I just came about this site with this wonderful topic, and found it to be sad for the family and the victim of witchcraft.
I myself has been having problems with the same situation where a spell has been cast upon my husband and my marriage of 11 years. Many people including my family laughed and said he probably has gone crazy, but this is someone whom I have lived with for 12 years, but to see my husband who had loved God now saying the devil is stronger than God and seeing one who had so much love now hates his own children and I mean babies is sad.
The spell was bound to keep my husband away from us and to start a new family with someone else. All these things came as dreams, in within month it came to past. within a matter of 2-3 weeks my husband was sick and saw a few doctors well but each one of them said nothing was wrong with him.
He complained he cannot sleep well at nights and then decided to see a psychiatrist who said nothing was wrong. but soon after my husband was just not the same . He moved with the woman, her kids are calling him dad, he is saying that thats his family and he must care for his family. He stopped supporting us and since then every penny goes to her and he children. She has now became pregnant as I saw in the dream and not for nothing will he nor her reveal this secret woman.
I always thought Obeah, witchcraft, voodoo black magic were all superstitions as I was taught. But now I am living a horrible life. My kids have been under tremendous stress my daughter has fallen ill since then, I pray now more than ever only asking God to deliver us out of the arms of the wicked ones.
At times I am upset because I know who is behind it all and I know why. It took months but I ask myself where is the love God ask us to have.
I see my husband only at court and he seems lost, he has turned from pale white to a junky red around the eyes has gotten dark, and he is now dressing weird his favorite word is no… As if he was commanded to refuse everything I ask of him.
In speaking the conversation starts of well then he starts jumping to stories and he is always thirsty…my husband hated drinking everything except cola.
Man all I want to tell you guys is that a humble tongue makes a wise man…If the young woman is askinng for help then advise her sensibly if not then say nothing at all…
She didn’t come on saying she want to cast a spell but she is simply asking for help…People like this you dont ever turn away…
My heart goes out for her and the family of the guy.

I agree with BELLA that this letter does not give her enough information to make a good evaluation but I agree with her advice. Did the man actually say the woman was working voodoo on him? What evidence did he have? A man doesn’t have to be under a voodoo spell to want to stay with the mother of his child. Could it be that the lady who wrote the letter to BELLA actually wants him to leave more than he himself does and is cungering up (no pun intended)) this whole voodoo thing? If he thought it would work itself out why would he devulge such “secretive” information to another person? However, since I don’t have all the facts I will assume the man is (as the writer claims) in the grip of a voodoo spell or is afraid of one being cast upon him and proceed from there. Voodoo is witchcraft minus the organizational structure of modern North American witchcraft and without the ceremonial trappings. It claims to draw power from spirits or the devil to make things happen. Modern witchcraft is more likely to claim to draw power from “mother earth”, or a benign spirit or spirits. The rawest form of voodoo came from Africa to Haiti and spread to other islands, and entered the States through New Orleans. It often involves the use of herbs and potions, along with rituals, to bring good or bad upon people for a price. The craft is taught and often passed down from generation to generation. The writer should be told that most voodoo workers are absolute frauds. They want your money. People who do not believe in them have nothing to fear from them. The only power they have to hurt you is the power you attribute to them. If they can fill you with fear, make you worry, rob you of sleep, ect. you will probably have a mental or physical breakdown, or an accident due to your loss of ability to concentrate on what you are doing! Voodoo workers have been known to put a curse on somebody and then MAKE that curse happen if they received the fee they asked for. So we hear of terrible things happning; cattle have become sick or died, houses have burned down, and people have been found dead. Thank God, such cases are rare. However, anybody who pretends to have these powers and uses fraud to deceive is inviting the devil’s help! He or she draws evil spirits like rotting flesh draws flies! Some become demon possessed. But believers in Jesus Christ – I don’t mean people who are only church members – I mean those who have personally trusted Christ and have received Him as their Saviour – have no reason to fear even the most “powerful” voodoo worker. This is because the shed blood of Christ protects us. It is only one of the weapons of our warfare. In fact Christians who are filled with the Holy Spirit and live a godly life have power to cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ! This is only prt of the larger package called “the gospel”. You can learn more about it by attending a Pentecostal Church! I invite you to visit my website. http://www.livinghopeministries.ca Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

THIS THINGS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. SO MY DEAR KEEP ON PRAYING I WAS IN THE SAME SITUATION AND IS PRAYER AND THE GRACE OF GOD THATS WHY AM ALIVE TODAY THATS HOW SERIOUS IT WAS.BUT WHAT SOME PEOPLE FAIL TO REALISE EVIL LAST BUT FOR A WHILE BUT EARNEST PRAYER STANDS FOREVER ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE ENOCENT GOD SAID IN HIS WORDS THAT HE WILL ALWAYS MAKE A WAY FOR YOU TO ESCAPE.

Ms T you are not telling the truth,This man is doing all what men do, that is, work hard for their woman and to feed their children.
You say his woman is wicked,Why? you say you feel sorry for the man and want to help him,the man never ask you for help he love the way it is with his woman and baby and have faith everything will work out to the end.
The woman stay home to look after her child while he is at work. That is very normal.so why do you call her wicked,I think you have a evil sprit that want you to break up the man relasionship so you can have him for yopur self.
It is you who need prays, you allow the evil sprit in you to break up relationships, its you who need help and not the mans woman as you say everytime you see the man it breaks your heart because ne is not you man.
So dont think you fool others with this black magic stuff,The mans woman sense you are a bad influence on her man and dont want you near him, so pray for yourself you are evil to think you can scare people with this stupidness with black magic.
you are jelous and wish you had a man to work had for you and stay home all day and look at religious programs and play pastor with your witch craft to make money praying for others.
What the man should do is take holy water and throw on you every time he see you to keep away from him. :) :-D

Dear Bella and those who think I want the girl’s man:

I am not judging this young lady or anyone as a matter of fact cause I’m not God. I didn’t now inorder to get some good advise I had to air their dirty laundry. The situation is very much real and I’m not only praying for my friend but for his EX too. I’ve been a friend of the family for years now and when I was told of the situation I was warned to becareful who I shared it with. The young man is in the spotlight and the family is dealing with it as private as they can. I thought coming to Dear Bella was a way I could get more people to pray for the families involved but instead all I got was NOTHING. Thank you very much. I am however taking your advise Bella, me and my family is praying for him and I’m being the best friend I can be. To those of you who say I want the girl man, I’m praying for you too cause you don’t know any better.

My dear, take heart. Do not worry and do not despair. God is with you. There are some negative people in the world. They have nothing to do except to criticize and demean others. Their comments serve no useful purpose. They enjoy and wallow in their negativity. They and their stupid comments are to be ignored and also rejected. Know that there are others who believe and who will offer you their consolation and encouragement.
I do believe this story. Since my childhood days I have heard what some wicked people can do to others. This is nothing new. It is continuing today and will be until the end of time as long as we have a primary enemy called Satan. These people have succumbed to his whims and wiles. In the end, as God knows and sees, they will be the losers for all eternity. Due to their wicked hearts who knows how they will age and how they will die. God knows!
Our Lord has told us to love God and others. These are the Greatest Commandments. We are not to harm others for those who do, they will receive just what they dish out to others and two-fold.
I reside in Toronto and it is no exception. I heard that there are some people who migrated to this country who participate in evil. They migrated with their evil ways. There are those who are born in Canada who do likewise. I never thought that this wickedness existed in Canada and its different provinces and cities. I was shocked to hear about that. Some young people in this country, no exception America and no doubt elsewhere in other big countries dabble in the occult. They believe in the devil rather than God. If they continue in their evil ways, their end will be eternal destruction.
Thank God, to my knowledge I do not know them. I have no wish to meet anyone of them. I do not want to hear their views and I pray to God that I do not meet anyone of them.
There are those even in the work force who are envious of others. They will do all sorts of evil to harm others. They can also send evil to their homes.
Many times people are sick and depressed, some, to the point of becoming insane, this could be the cause of evil which doctors are not able to detect.
There are those who want men and would resort to evil traits to get them so that they will marry them. If they are not able to get them, their evil works will keep them from being happy and God knows what else they could do to satisfy their evil desires.
If your friend has strong faith with the help of God and your prayers he should overcome it. He must also keep praying and ask God to help him and to grant him peace of heart and mind.
I do not know what his religious affiliation is. If he is a Catholic Christian, he should go to church, pray to God, make good use of the Holy Water, bless his home and himself and always or on occasion make the Sign of the Cross wherever he may be. I do not state that he has do it when others are around but in private. He must have confidence that God can release him of any evil which surrounds him and his home.
He should also have his home blest by a Priest, if he is a Catholic and also inform the Priest of what is happening to him. If possible twice a month or monthly, for a while at least, until he feels better.
If he is a Catholic, he should wear religious articles as a blest Crucifix. His home should contain religious matters as religious songs/hymns. He should play them. Also read the appropriate Psalms as Psalms 23, 68, 91 and 121 and any other appropriate ones. He should also read passages of Holy Scriptures. If possible, he should read/pray them loud.
He should keep the Holy Spirit of God in his home always. Religious songs/hymns will drive away the enemy, evil from him and his home.
I reiterate that if he is a Catholic, he should pray The Holy Rosary and keep one in his pocket when in and out. The Holy Rosary contains the Mysteries of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He should also give Holy Masses for his personal intentions and also that of his wife and child.
My advice also is that if he has a child with a woman who practices such and on him, he should have nothing to do with her. He must support his child but he can do so even with the help of a lawyer. He will need to see his child. He can get the advice of his lawyer. He does not have to go to the woman’s home. He should not accept anything be it food from her. If she wants to come to his home, he should not allow it, to the point of a restraining order.
Dominica is a small place and so he may not be able to move far away. If this were possible, he should do so.
Once he is released of this evil bondage, he should pray the Psalm of Thanksgiving and any other appropriate prayers also whatever he feels like saying to God: “Thank You, Lord.”
If he is a Catholic Christian, he should give a Holy Mass of Thanksgiving. God appreciates gratitude. He should never cease praying and going to Church.
I am ever willing to offer and to give advice baste on my knowledge, what comes through my mind and hopefully through God’s inspiration.
Do not resort to suspicious acts. Give it all to Our Lord Jesus Christ who is The Healer of all our ills.
This is my advice to you. My prayers are with you. Continue praying for your friend. God bless you as you keep the faith and godly spirit!

I’m going to get my behind kicked for this but this story is true. I know Ms. T and she’s just trying to be a friend to the young man. To those of you who thinks she wants the girl man you couldn’t be more wrong. The man’s sister came to her asking for help to pray. The young man was having some medical issues and no Doctor could find out what’s wrong so one Dr. Suggests he sees a priest/minister so he did and that’s when they found out that there is an evil force against him. His sister begged him to go to Gwada to see who or what’s doing this to him and that’s when they found out it’s his EX-girlfirend. He has proof and due to the seriousness of the issue I’m going to respect their privacy. At present, his faith in God, his family and friends are rallying around him with lots of prayers. The EX is also his baby’s mother and that just complicates things cause he a good soul and he do not want to harm the mother of his kid. Pray for the youg man and the young woman and ask questions before you go running your mouth about something you have no idea about. Ms. T tell John Doe he’s in my prayers and GOD IS GOOD!!!!EVIL WILL NOT WIN!!! I CAN PROMISE THAT!

      February 18, 2013

Dear Jayne: You are a caring person and you have provided more information to help those involved in this case. God bless you for doing this. So many comments offer a view point or only ridicule. To what I and others have already written I would like to add a few more statements. Voodoo may be more popular in Dominica than I had orginally thought, and it is not well understood. People practice voodoo (a) brcause it is a “trade” – somthing they do to make money or get material gain, and (b) it gives them a certain prestege or an edge in their community. The uneducated and poor tend to fear them, hold them in high regard for their supposed powers, and seek their services. There are two types of voodoo workers and it is difficult actually know which is which unless you have had long dealing with them. Most voodoo workers are frauds. They are after people’s money OR whatever else they can get from them for their services. The only power they have is the power people attribute to them. If somebody is cursed and something bad does happen to that person by chance naturally this helps the voodoo workers, and increases the faith some people have in the craft! If a person truly believes in voodoo and is told he has been severely cursed the fear and worry is often enough to make him sick or give him a breakdown. Voodoo workers are not committed to any code of ethics or morality and it is not a profession that is regulated by law. Some workers will MAKE their curses happen if they are paid enough. This is not supernatural. It is criminal. So we hear of people getting sick, of animals dying, of houses burning down, and other terrible things. These things may be rare but they DO happen. They are the work of human hands not the work of spirits! But there are those voodoo workers who while they also use deception have given the devil enough of themselves to actually have gained evil powers from the dark side. They have literally SOLD themserlves to satan in exchange for evil powers. I suspect they all begin in the first group. Some (probably a small percentage) gradually work their way into the second group. Unsuspecting people who don’t realize the fraud and satanic (demonic) power that drives the craft innocently go to a voodoo worker or help. Some, if they think an enemy has had a curse put on them by a particular voodoo worker will go to another worker to have the curse removed and put a curse on that enemy! Those who are true Christians cannot be harmed by voodoo and need not fear them. True Christians are those who believe Jesus Christ died for their sins and rose again the third day according to the Bible in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, and that His shed blood has washed their sins away as it says in 1 John 1:7. They have received Christ as their personal Saviour as it says in St. John 1:12 and Revelation 3:20. No, we don’t fear voodoo or anything else from satan because the Bible says God has “…DELIVERED us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:13) We don’t curse our enemies! We pray for them, that our Saviour will become their Saviour to! Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist. http://www.livinghopeministries.ca

It is upsetting how low some people will go to destroy others and their relationships. This man is a young man as you said, but it seems that you are assuming that he is unhappy because if he really was unhappy why is he still with his woman.

You all like to make excuses and play saviour in peoples lives. Leave them people alone to riase their daughter, because you have no idea how happy he maybe having his family.

I pray for you, that you will stop spreading accusations about this young lady, because as bella said you have not given any reason or fact to support you story, and i pray that this young lady genuinely loves this young man, because not often we find hard working men who supports their family.

On the other hand you need to grow up and be smart, he might just be using this excuse to get a piece of you, while he is still with his family.

So you too need to go to church and pray to God that the devil does not use you and your mouth to destroy a family.

Just saying it as i see it.

I’m not spreading accusations about this young lady because I have no reason to. If you don’t know the stuation all you had to do was ask instead of assume and since you’re saying it as you see it do me one more favor love, Pray, Pray for the young woman and my friend so they both find peace in their lives.
