Mothers’ Day approaches, and we prepare for mass or church services, family meals, outings and happy happenings.  There is one part of the community that needs to be acknowledged and relieved; the girls who were thrust into motherhood before time because of rape, the women who are being raped and beaten, and the little girls whose innocence is violated and destroyed.

The David Lynch Foundation is helping women and children around the globe to overcome the horror of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

To help combat the epidemic of violence and assault against women and children, The David Lynch Foundation launched a Women’s Initiative in 2012 that offers Transcendental Meditation, a simple, natural mental technique of meditation that helps women and children to get rid of the dreadful lingering influences of abuse and trauma.  No need to drag the victims again and again into the gory details. They meditate, and the stress just lifts off, leaving them relieved and able to live a normal life again. They can also have Ayurvedic Treatments and Natural Healing Treatments.

There is at present an epidemic of domestic violence and abuse in Dominica and other parts of the world.

In the United Stated alone, one out of four women will be assaulted or raped by their spouse or intimate partner during their lifetime, and nearly 3 million children are witnesses to it every year.

250,000 children are at risk of becoming victims of sex trafficking every year.

In the military, 19,000 incidences of rape and sexual assault against female military personnel were recorded in 2010 alone.

We can heal and empower our women and girls.

In order to make this a living reality, we need help from the Dominican community. We need to partner with people and organizations who are concerned about the wellbeing of the victims and getting a real solution to this problem.

You can become a FOUNDING DONOR of the Dominica Women’s Initiative and make it possible for these innocent victims to get their life back without the flashbacks, bad memories, stress, insomnia,  and substance abuse in most cases, premature aging.

Help them to experience inner peace, happiness, clarity of mind, creativity, better health and reversal of the aging process.

You can also become a SUPPORTING MEMBER and give your time and expertise to help them return to normal living.

If you have been raped or abused physically, mentally or emotionally, become a MEMBER to get full scholarship to participate in the program. The program will be launched on Mothers’ Day.

The Transcendental Meditation Technique is a simple, effortless, mental technique that allows the mental activity of the mind to settle down. As mental activity becomes less, physical activity becomes less also because body and mind are interrelated. The body experiences deep rest, much deeper than deep sleep, but while remaining fully aware and awake, and stresses are released. TM, as it is popularly called is practiced for 20 minutes morning and evening, one experiences peace of mind and the effects lasts throughout the day, Effects are cumulative and there are no side effects to the practice.

Hundreds of scientific studies have been conducted on the benefits of the Transcendental Meditation program at more than 200 independent universities and research institutions worldwide over the past 40 years. The National Institutes of Health have awarded over $26 million to research the effectiveness of TM for reducing stress and stress-related illness with a focus on cardiovascular disease. Findings have been published in leading, peer-reviewed scientific journals, including The American Journal of Cardiology and the American Heart Association’s Hypertension and Stroke.

Please visit www.davidlynchfoundation.org for more details on research and to see the videos of actual studies.

We can rid Dominica of this plague town by town, village by village, and stop it from stealing our young girls’ futures by throwing them into adulthood before they are ready to have babies whom they are not mature enough to raise properly. Stop it from stressing our Dominican women and causing them to contract chronic illnesses.

We are forming this support group to help women and girls in the rejuvenation process, Perfect Health Institute was established to provide natural treatments with herbs, massage, cleansing, and detox etc, for conditions that are difficult to treat by conventional means,   Maharishi Vedic Health Spa offers Ayurvedic Treatments to balance the individual, mind, body, emotions and spirit.  Pain that will not go away for years, finally lifts off. Dark or swollen legs and feet finally lighten up, the lasting effects of Strokes start easing off, The Dreaded Gro Puel, (Accute excessive grief after a loss)  emotional or physical burnout, nervous break down, total rejuvenation is what you will experience.

We hope that it will make a difference in the way they raise their children and this will contribute to a strengthening of our women in the society and parents can regain parental control of their children.

I wish every mother in Dominica a Happy, Healthy Mothers’ Day.
