Last night I had the most beautiful dream

Last night I had the most beautiful dream. Out of the blue I happened along the waterfront in Portsmouth and lo and behold the old wrecks along the seashore began disappearing one by one into the sea.

Of course an event like this attracted the huge crowd which is expected in Portsmouth and the spectacle was grand!

It soon came to my realization that the ships were of course not moving of their own volition but were being tugged out to sea by one grey vessel which seemed to be “military”, so I knew it could not belong to our country and all the other vessels in the harbor who ply the routes to St. Maarten and to St. Kitts on a weekly basis.

Seeing these little vessels so hard at work reminded me of the little nursery rhyme about the little engine that think he could chugging over the hilltops all the time saying “ I think I can I think I can”. The sea was churned into a black muck by driven propellers

Still even though the resources at play seemed scant and the situation seemed impossible one after the other the wrecks from north to south were being pulled to sea and an amazing light bathed the town with each success.

My amazement would soon grow when I found myself near the ropes on the attempt to pull that monstrosity near the Police station. I was dumbfounded to find that the ropes were no bigger than shoe laces and at one point a dried broken branch from a nearby mango tree served as a pin to secure them.

The fact that women were conducting the whole operation did not slip me either.

In my dream only one wreck was not moved by the time I was awakened. The remnant to the south of the Borough’s Square. I wish I could fall asleep again to see that go too.

I am not one for interpreting dreams and writing parables, but as far as this one goes it was too interesting to me  not to share it with you.

For once I feel that there is a deeper message in a dream. I cannot write this one off as I am inclined to do, as a meaningless journey of the subconscious.

Hopefully someone out there who is more in tune with the world of dreams and the metaphysical can shed some light on this for me because I really wish that I could find a meaning to this one.

I have a much simpler interpretation of that dream.
Quite simply it comes from listening too much to that radio program on QFM and the Martin Luther King anthem that we have all now memorised.
    “I have a dream!”.

I am not an interpreter of dreams either. I too, have had some, which I sensed are of significant value. But what else can I do, except to be patience, that at His time, God will manifest the physical form of those dreams, that I might see them with my own two eyes. That is the way faith teaches to maintain hope.

In ancient times, people were not able to apply faith, hence God gave them men like Joseph, at certain times in Egypt; and Daniel at certain times in Babylon. Both of those men were called to interpret dreams of the King, where they were, who had them imprisoned, innocently. Of course they became famous afterwards.

Today God wants us to apply faith in Him, because He has blessed each one of us with a measure of faith. And faith flourishes hope in us; hope causes us to press on to the fulness of Life–which we demonstrate with the attitude and conducts of Love–the nature and character of God Himself, Eternal Spirit.

It is possible that by your faith, you are maintaining the Hope, that our Dominica will someday become a cleansed country. I have that hope too. Not only for Dominica’s physical cleansing; but for the minds of her people–that from their conscience, God will flourish their minds with His Ways of Love.

It is probably that God caused you to speak the message of your dream to us, a way by which He wants us to know that we should prepare ourselves for our call to serve Him, as He does His work of cleansing through us. Hold on to your hope, my friend.

I think the part about the women directing the project was significant, because I think women have not yet become conscious of their spiritual role in society. Being the first educators of humankind, they have a major role to play and when they stop acting as men during their opportunity at service, they will find womanhood the most spiritually wonderful and powerful thing that God bestowed on humankind.

If women get their act together, they can love, charm and educate men to goodness.

I cannot pass on this one, as I say that you are right on!. For I am a woman, who is experiencing the authoirty of God’s Holy Spirit, from where he lives in my conscience. I know that God Almighty, of Love, Truth, and Holiness, which He perfoms through the attitude and conducts of His Person, the Son, who is Jesus Christ, is preparing me, that He might do His work through me; and I am willing!

The sooner we, men and woman, come to acknowledge that we are not working for God, but that He is doing His work through us, the sooner we will humble ourselves, trust, and obey His command, as He just have His way in us. What a wonderful place, this world can become!

Hi Ashton and everyone. The comment from Fortunate Circumstances seem to be the most sensible of all. They are right that everyone can play a role in getting this done and that it doesnt have to something that is initiated by your government. If the people in your community sincerely desire to see this removal of the old waste in your lives you can do so; As a team. The different objects being used also speaks of diversity in character and role, which is fine as long as you all work as one for one common goal. At present, in the natural it is the removal of these eyesore, but in the spiritual it is the decay of morality that now seeks to evade and overrun every society once left unattended. It is up to every citizen, regarless of age, race, gender, to work together, each as a unique puzzle piece, working and doing what they can in their ability to, in an effort at removing the old mindsets, traditions and even the not so old, that are now influencing our nation and to once again build and restore to itself a nation that has a heart after God. Redeeming the times, because the days are evil.

    A wonderful dream Asthon .

    To quote T.E. Lawrence:

“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.”

I hope that one day your dream will become reality.

I love that dream! Take the initiative and make the dream come true. Dreams do come true when all citizens play their part . It does not matter how small. We really should not wait on the government to make some dreams come true.
