Pope Benedict XVI’s trip to the UK

The press should be focusing more on the pope’s  message of peace and  hope during his visit to the U.K. Pope Benedict XVI is a man rich in spiritual passion, humility, self-denial and love for the cause of God and of man.

He has a brilliant philosophical and, in particular, theological mind that has endearingly embraced a vision of broad spiritual and ecclesial horizons: personal holiness extended to the supreme sacrifice, missionary outreach combined with constant concern for unity, the necessary integration of spiritual charism and institutional ministry.

His episcopal motto “Co-worker of the Truth” has guided him in his tireless and uncompromising efforts aimed at defending and promoting the Catholic faith and its morals against modern errors in an age in which the Catholic Church has suffered unprecedented persecutions and martyrdom.

Pope Benedict XVI  has also worked to encourage studies aimed at increasing knowledge of the faith so that the new problems arising from the progress of science and civilization can be answered in the light of the Word of God.

The aim for which he has always striven has been to serve the truth, seek to know it ever more thoroughly and make it ever more widely known.

May the Lord bless Pope Benedict XVI during his trip to the U.K.

With respectful and cordial best wishes, I remain,
Sincerely yours,
Paul Kokoski

    @Paul Kokoski …. You sure do contribute a great deal of nonsense to Dominica News. Your understanding of worldly events is only matched by your understanding of basic social behavior.

    In regards to your praise of Pope Benny’s “Co-worker of the Truth” moto, you seem to overlook the fact that it was HE who did everything he could to prevent those, who had been and were continuing to abuse children, from being held accountable for their crimes. So while you are blessing the little prada covered feet of this pseudo-pedophile, try to spare a shred of compassion to those innocent children who had their lives destroyed by this “Co-worker of the Truth”.

    @Jayson:
    This time you amuse me. There is no doubt that the Holy Father would like to visit every country, if possible but transportation could be a problem. Although, unless he travelled by a tourist boat, probably from a nearby country. He must first be invited by the government of Dominica. Prior to accepting the invitation many conditions as safety must be ensured.
    Note that he did not visit Ireland. I assumed that this is due to the religious unrest in Ireland. Even though God protects, precautions are necessary.
    Dominica will need an international airport or a huge airplane to fly his entourage as also security. Unless if they settle for several airplanes.
    The late Holy Father Pope John Paul II had visited St. Lucia and Trinidad. These countries have direct flights but not Dominica.
    When the late Pope John Paul II visited Toronto in 2002 it was a blessed and joyous occasion. I spoke to some people who are not Catholic Christians including Hindus and Muslims and was told that they viewed every possible event on TV. No doubt some who are not Catholics attended the events.
    Be assured that where the Holy Father is, The Blessed Trinity — God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit, The Mother of God, The Ever Blessed Virgin Mary and all others in the Heavenly Court are present. It is a big mystery since they are in Heaven but their Holy Spirits are present. We cannot see them but they are present. Keep in mind, God is everywhere. Blessings and graces abound. Only by faith we might believe.

    @DAMNASS:

    What do you mean? He is Holiness, The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI and deserves to be called accordingly.
    There are people who interpret Holy Scriptures to suit their mentality. Pope Benedict is the Head of The Catholic Church and is recognized as such. He is Our Lord Jesus Christ’s Vicar on earth.
    Please let me inform you in case you are not aware of it or that you have renounced your Catholic faith as so many others in this age of the great apostasy have done.
    2010 years ago God sent His Only Son that whoever believes in Him might be saved, if they have obeyed His (Our) Heavenly Father’s Will.
    The Catholic Church which means “Universal” was formed. After it was formed some disobedient and rebellious members formed their own church. This was caused by the smoke of Satan and his whims and wiles which entered The Church and placed divisions and disunity which those people were too mortally and spiritually blind to realize.
    Today, as in some previous years, many have become enemies of This Church, some very members who were once worshippers.
    If you truly know God and what He has taught according to Holy Scriptures, you would not make such a comment.
    It is not a Christian act to criticize anyone and their Faith. God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit – The Blessed Trinity is displeased with such people.
    Furthermore, as the saying: “If you cannot say something good about a person, do not say anything.” It is not a Christian act or an act of charity – love.
    Heaven is a place of praising God, celebration, joy, love, peace and unity. Consider people/souls going to Heaven with all sorts of beliefs. Those who cause divisions and who continue to do so will ever enter God’s Kingdom.
    Keep in mind the words of Our Lord Jesus Christ: Matthew 12:37 – A Tree and Its Fruits – …By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.
    There is a saying: “Words are like atom bombs. Be careful how you use them.

    I love the attitude in your comment. The part I like most is where you said that “even the media succumb to God”

    It so good that you realized that it is God who must receive the glory. And I am glad to know that, because of the Pope, people glorified God, I am sure that is what the Pope wants as well. For God is Spirit and He needs a physical body to demonstrate His Love and authority to us, who desire to know and love Him in return. Who can fit better than the Pope?

    I am also relieved to know that the Church is not as bad as most people would like to believe. God is in control, and may He continue to demonstrate His control through obedient and humble men like the Pope. I add, may God’s grace remain with him–the Pope.

    Thank you for that beautiful information. It was even better than what Mr.Kokoski wrote.

    That was so special. Complete coverage by the major news channels in the UK on every event surprised me, and I am really happy because it showed even the media succumbed to God, and for once the concentration was on the extreme good of the church, not the bad. It actually showed the other side of the nation. Catholics and non-catholics alike participated and enjoyed! In the end all of us Christians have the same goal and it showed. God bless the pope! Me he continue to spread the good news all over the world.
