This Giga-Yacht named “A'” seen docking outside of the Fort Young Hotel some months ago belongs to a Russian energy billionaire and financier.
The photographer came across this link http://blog.luxuryproperty.com/luxury-real-estate-gigayachts-a-sf99-sigma-mega-yacht/ while doing some research. (Copy and paste link into browser to access website) This giga-yacht owned by Andrey Melnichenko costs approximately $150 million Euros. Melnichenko owns some pretty luxurious real estate on the Cote D’Azur, the Mediterranean coastline of the southeast corner of France.

@Gary this is defo not photoshop…was there when he took the pic…good job cuz…maybe you need to show Gary a photoshopped version of the Giga Yacht lmbo
oh my, i was on that yacht that night with my date,how selfish taking the yacht pic without me in it? didn’ u see me making love on the top?
it’s about nice shots, then this is a beautiful shot. Well done photographer.
From the blurbm i am assuming that it is simply any picture from anyone. There is no detail stating that it has to be about Dominica or of Dominica, it just says photograpers in Dominica… so any shot can qualify as long as the photographer locally submits.
Or DNO, am i wrong?
@streetwise:
You wish eh. Not on the stipend u getting by RUSM……. lol. You can get there eh because it is written that power lies in the tongue!!!!!!!
Gary seem to present himself with a negative response to most situations, but I somehow agree with him at some point. His critics about this picture, pointing out that it has nothing to do with Dominica is a genuine critic.
I know nothing about cameras and photography, that is why I would like to know how does it happened that the water and the sky has the exact same color setting from the camera? Was there no stars or clouds that would cause the image of the sky to look different from the water at nigh-time? Perhaps Gary observed the same thing and he knows better than I do, why he said the picture is faked.
Anyway, I was hoping that the “Picture of The Day” theme was supposed to focus on Dominica its natural beauty and richness. Let us not adopt material richness in the place of our priceless and precious scenery of our beautiful and blessed homeland.
@Gary: I am a photographer, I own a Canon XSI 450D and trust me you can get amazing photos that would make people wonder how was it really done and those that doesn’t know, like Gary… will call it’s a fake.. With the right; Aperture (F-Stop), ISO (speed) and Shutter (light) you can get shots that are unbelievable… “I own a few” Now I know this photo is genuine, it was posted minutes after it was taken, there was a little facebook vibes going on to see who could get the better Photo, if you go to face book you may see other entries.
but that was there for a couple of days …remember seein it from college n went closer to inspect …
trust me it was there …
lovely
@gary.
stop hating.give him his roses.great pic
ya i agree with gary….I dont see nothing dominican in this pic. dats a fab yacht though.
i saw it in the virgin islands this yr its a nice yacht
Congrats Mandel.. Great photo as usual, i even see ppl thinking your photo is a photoshop job!!
@gary, Go brush up on your photography skills if you have any and come back and comment
@Gary:
You are a retard and no ntohing about photography. Photoshop? Get yourself a Nikon slr or a compact camera and actually know what you’re doing and maybe you might be able to pull something like that off. Off course, if you knew anything about camera and lighting you would know that night time with the right camera and the “know how” to use a camera can give you beautiful looking pictures as well.
People can never just say work well done. Always some negative s***….ughhhh
Absolotuley gorgeous
This Yacht was docked in Guadeloupe for 3 months then it came to Dominica! it’s a very nice look boat! cost alot of money.
Congrats Mandell. I guess the macros will come later…
@Gary: Sorry to disappoint you Gary, but this wasn’t done in Photoshop. It’s fairly easy to do if you know how to use a camera.
love this pic…:)
Damn! I saw that one… That was truly amazing… When he coming again??? Nice foto btw
hmm..who took a pic of my yacht?
Fake, great Photoshop job done. This Photo could be taken anywhere, it does not show anything depicting
Dominica . Nice publicity stunt.
