dem people well maga food musta been scarce
The comments are truly funny. Tiny, no tub or hot water either and no bikinis. Oh Oh no color pictures either. All jokes aside, thanks DNO for the blast from the past and a bit of history.
@Observer. Math lesson; 2012 – 1906 = 106. My 10 cents.
The third from the left has the body of a model. Great pic!
This is a beautiful pic. Thanks for informing us
how our great grand parents dress in the early
ninties
Wow Wow they even in rompers wi…lol
Hahaha. You brought back my memory of the word “romper”. Thanks
It is sad that they’re most likely dead now
Well, they can’t live forever, can they?
I like! The little boy with his hands on his waist; so adorable!!
Bon dieu see my grand aunt Anelta and my grand mother Nobertina
bring back de milk and honey !!!!!!!
Very conservative dressing. My impression is that the children were raised with dignity and high morals. Though kids, not one of the girls are naked or even half naked.
They all seem contented. Parents today can learn a lesson from that.
Good photo.
The one on the right is my great great grand father and the one on the left is my great great grand mother. They put on their sunday best to take a photo for the white couple. Oh by the way the one second from the left is ma pampo.
if that was taken today you would see lots of flesh and posing alas how things have changed,,,,,for the worse
Ma Pampo at the time of her death was over 120 years old so how in the world that was her in the pic. In the picture above she looked nothing like a teenager or older.
Do you realize it was never proven that Ma Pampo was over 120 years at the time of her death, because no records were found all were lost hence they couldnt prove it. And the results of the age test on her remains were never disclosed which leads one to think that she was mayber never over 120 at the time of her death. And due to this she was never included in the Guiness Book of World Records
lol
The fourth one from the left is me. The third still from the left is my big sister. The fifth is my little sister. Ti-Paul is my cousin. The two other girls are my little cousins from different mothers. They are all alive and well, living with me.
O my, this is a lovely picture. I hope whoever sent it in got some more to show. Blast from the
past.
nice synchronize team…gold for us….nice..ready set go..nice pic for real..
in those days no bathing suit ,wow ,
De de de de de da
Lovely picture. That place (is) or was called under-power in Bath-Estate.
I am from Roseau, one of them is me in my past life. not sure which one.
This is the best comment I have ever read. I think you are the one on the right with both hands akimbo and looking ready for action. You must have been, or should I say, you are “Leader of the Pack”
that picture creepy…. i hate looking at dead ppl
lol
They all look so dignified. Amazing picture.
Wow!Truely remarkable. This photo should be displayed in a museum. Truely Old memories.
Those are the good old days, when children were children, enjoying themselves.
Bathing with clothes on. Very decent. What a contrast to now!
I WILL GIVE DON ^&1000000 DOLLLARS IF THEY CAN TELL ME WHERE IN NETOWN DAT PIC WAS REMOVED

@Anonymous
if u look carefully at the bottom , u will realise that it is indeed a postcard featuring the Roseau River.
actually the witchurch calenders normally features pics like these.i suspect its from the calender..
The third one from the left was my chick when we were children. But she left me for another guy a couple years later.
really??? i dont know of any centenarians being able to use the computer
wow! a peek from the past.so refreshing, cultural and nostalgic indeed!thank God i had a taste of those good old days too.precious memories indeed!
They don’t look delighted to have their photos taken.
dont’t agree – they just seem curious as to what is this thing “camera” being pointed at us.
during those days they didn’t know camera so they were like contry bookie. u cannot blame them..i remember when i first saw camera we i was contry bookie then.lol
Unless their names are written no one alive will know them as they all except one look older than six years which means that they were all born in the late 1800.
Children, grand, and great grand children should be able to recognize people born as far as 1888. Writing this due to fact not fiction!
So Precious and so well preserved!!
Thank you for sharing!!
God Bless Dominica.
This is truly remarkable, I am sure that someone might remember some, if not all the persons in the photo, although it’s 106 years old
I think tiny suffers from ADD the kids are posing for a photo in the river they are not ready for swimming they will soon put on their bathing suits
Some people are soo annoying and negative it really urks me ————no kids back then did not see the need to relax their hair ok !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol!! Don’t allow Tiny to make you blow a fuse. Tiny’s objective is to attract comments and possibly to be humorous….so just go with the flow. Great picture.
i love this photo.a look back into them good old days.

Tiny, you either very young, or you not from Dominica. One cannot be so closed-minded and naive!
Don’t you see Tiny is full of humor? Ease up on Tiny…he/she makes us laugh
Wow. Smart observation, Tiny. Would you like a doggy biscuit as a reward for being observant?
