This is a photograph of Adriana, the grand daughter of Venezuela’s ambassador to Dominica.
Adriana recently spent three months on the island.
This photo was sent to DNO all the way from Ottawa, Canada, accompanied by Happy Independence wishes and blessings for Dominica and all Dominicans.

Haven’t seen sooo much race controversy since Michael Jackson turned white! According to the article, this is the Venezuelan Ambassador’s Grand daughter, which had spent 3 months here on the island. Considering how young she seems to be, doesn’t that make her Dominican enough, regardless of her skin color?
The Ambassador has been working hard for the island’s sake for a long time now, let’s just be proud of our country and of the love that is receiving from every corner of the world!
What a lovely photo!! It reflects the great love that Her Excellency, her family and her extended family have for this beautiful island. Cheers!!
I wonder how many comments if it was a black child
Nothing is stopping you or anyone else to put a picture of a black child
There is always that race card, played by a Joker.
This is a beautiful picture. stop the negativity people! On behalf of DNO I am issuing an early call for photos of creole baby models for Independence 2013: all babies are welcome – 100 percent Dominican, Haitian, chinese, cuban, dom rep, venzuelan, japanese, toute!!!
All babies are beautiful, they don’t care about race they don’t discriminate. Cant say the same about you.(mudd)
@ MUDD….Please don’t go there stop it already.Your name is MUDD just take off one D and that mud comes in many diffrent colours so think about it before you make your disgusting comment.
You should be ashamed of yourself .
Que bella Adriana! que Dios la bendiga siempre! Besitos!
cute!!!
she is so sweet lovely baby
A picture speaks a thousand words. As soon as I observed the picture, it brought a huge smile to my face. She is oh, so beautiful and cute. For her young age, she is extremely patriotic.
Firstly, her dad of course.
This picture is worth keeping and showing off to everyone possible, especially to all Dominicans.
She makes me proud of my (our) beautiful Dominica and heritage. This is a really beautiful picture. Our Lord Jesus Christ loves the little, innocent children of the world. He was once a child, Infant Jesus.
God bless Dominica and nationals. The picture makes us all happy and proud of our country and its heritage. Thanks DNO! There should be more of these.
thanks for representing da

Absolutely cute, she is Dominican, are you!? we all should learn from this little angel.

Cute baby
Awww How sweet.
Do you have a pic of a Domincan baby?
ADMIN: IF we had a pic of a Dominican baby, we would publish it. Unfortunately people don’t submit pics but complain when others do.
wondering the same too
How true! If only they would think of submitting one. Dominica has beautiful babies and dressed in the national costume, they will look even more beautiful. Hopefully next year they will submit a few relevant pictures. I really love this picture. She is beautiful and bright in this color of the national dress.
well! well! well! – I saw so many of our “black” babies in regular outfits during the independence, let’s just appreciate the submission and the fact that the family feels “Dominican” enough to even dress up the baby in support of our independence.
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
You Dominicans are not easy! Someone took the time to buy and dress their baby in Dominican attire, and you guys are complaining about ‘. Do you have a pic of a Dominican baby?’
DNO don’t respond to ignorance. This is indeed a worthy ‘pic of the day’..
Dominicans are always extra. Stuuupppeeesss!!! What difference does it make what race or nationality the child is?
quite agree…
Hit the nail on the head -brilliant comeback admin
Gorgeous baby! One advise, next year instead of the below which she has just give her a white anklet and a little black shoes to go with that, and that will be cuter!!
‘advice’
It is winter in Canada. Ottawa is colder than Toronto. They may have been out celebrating Dominica’s independence. This may be the reason why she wore the type of socks. Children must be warmly clad for winter and also for their comfort. White is appropriate. It matches the dress.
Even indoors could be cold if the heating system is not on or fully on. Some people keep the temperature low. I have heard that the minimum it should be for our indoor comfort and health is 65 degrees Fahrenheit. It should also not be too hot indoors. Some people also keep it lower in order to save on utility. Due to this, they will dress warmly indoors. That is the way it is in a cold climate in winter.
STF up. We know Canada is cold idiot. Isn’t she wearing a short sleeve
well, the baby is in Canada. Keeping her toes warm. lol
love the dress fitting and i must say the Dominica writing pretty baby.
Absolutely gorgeous baby!!!! Absolutely gorgeous
