Elton, I a sure that you have God’s blessings–the reason you love your homeland, Dominica, so much. I love her just as much , and I a glad that you and I are fro the same village of her landscape.

Let us pray that God will continue to bless our people of Giraudel and Eggleston with their gifts of ability, as they continue in harmony with His Love in their lives.

The arrangements were all beautifully done. However, the styles were too monotonous. It was like the same thing that was done in previous years held….not too much out of the box arrangements.Next year, please be more divergent with the themes and arrangements. :) :) :)

Very creative indeed. I saw quite a collection of photos showing the beautiful floral arrangements of the Giraudel/Eggleston Flower Show. Every year a magazine should be put together highlighting these great works and include art, sculpture paintings, poems and other literary works with space for advertising.

A reasonable cultural undertaking. Our businesses should initiate the funding with some assistance (what ever form it is)from Cultural Division and UNESCO. After two (2) years it can be self-sustaining. Market at hotels, cruise ship agents, tourism sites, tour agencies in the region, airline agencies in the region and diaspora.
    just an idea.

Thats a good idea, the committee presented that idea earlier on and they intend to produce one with the pictures from the show

You have my brother’s name but I don’t think he could coe up with that idea like yours above. I certainly agree with you!

There are so any ways that we can build up to the point that we do not have to depend on donations and hand outs. We simple cannot move up if we don’t have production in our work. But this kind of event in Giraudel/Eggleston is a harvest of flowers and more, which should display much production–in every way.

you must be a really ugly person, so you thinks every thing looks like you.

YOu have no sense of beautify simply why you would make such a statement, the person who gave the description you are correct and that’s what it stands for. any educated person would simply see thats what the piece epic’s.

You should take a look in a mirror to find out who is making that statement. Good job to that person who did this beautiful art work. God bless Dominica

Cupid, let me give you an explanation of the map since I am of the opinion that you can’t and don’t appreciate/understand the significance of it.
The green foliage represents the mountains. The white anthuriums outline the shape of Dominica. The yellow marigolds divide the parishes. The blue surrounding the map represents the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
I trust that you now have a clearer idea so you can appreciate the work and effort that made this all come to life.

and all the colours are those of the dominica flag. it is real creative.

        May 22, 2013

I am a true Dominican so I know what the colours represent. So thanks for the colourful info; I figure you just went to research that information. All of this still does not make it a well-done piece. The idea is very good, but the arrangement is very untidy and ugly. Now, that’s my opinion, so get on with it!!!

I won’t be ignorant like you but instead tell you it looks much better in person…somewhat like you right now!

      May 22, 2013

Well Cupid, apparently you could have done a better job, so why not show us a picture of a ‘lovely’ flower arrangement you designed and put together? Or give constructive criticism as to what areas need improvement so we can all learn from your experience? SMDH

Anyway, cupid is going right through you all’s hearts and minds. Dominicans can be so gullible- wow, it amazes me. I wonder how many of you your bp went up over a simple opinion like this. Learn to respect other people’s opinion and move on; you will be happier and the world will be a better place. I am here smiling, even laughing at all of this while you all are growing grey hairs. Still my opinion—it’s uugggggggggggggggly….

What is ugly about that arrangement? I wonder what would you do different, coparaison!
