This brings back childhood memories. My grandmother grew this exotic food when I was growing up. We enjoyed breadnut very much. Those were some good old days.

Love it!!!. Let’s not fight over a little gwen peh. Good stuff, I had some when I was in DA last year. I did not get any in April but they were selling all kinds of goodies during the cricket in April. They were when I was there. GOYA has it in the cans, not the same taste. Nothing can beat the fresh bread nut. Go DA!!!!

I love to eat breadnuts but have not had some for a while. They are tasty. I suppose it is now the season for breadnuts.
We are approximately three months from the Christmas season when, the stores in Toronto will be selling chestnuts which are similar to breadnuts.
“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…” Who could sing this better than the late Nat Kin Cole? We can also sing “Breadnuts roasting…”
DNO I recall you had a similar picture last year. Am I correct? No problem! We love viewing pictures of our fruits and produces and being reminded about them. It is encouraging that we should also eat them for they are nutritious.

if we eat more of these locally grown foods I think we will have less non communicable diseases on the nature isle.

      @ nature girl

I agree. There are reasons why they are grown. They are called the spoils of the land. They should be appreciated. I do think the problem is we are too busy to enjoy what we have. As the saying, “Stop and smell the roses” for time flies.
