I have read so many comments that d/cans are lazy, and so and so.They need to go to work, etc. As far as I can see this one is not one of them! All I can say is,”Whahh”. I also read that d/cans are so fat and all I can see on this young man are muscles, not one once of fat. I have bought my hoe and axe. I want to lose weight and be muscled like him!!!

Hard work to support himself and his family. Harts off to you bros! This looks like a ‘pick’, the tool they use to peel coconuts, and trust me I remember back in the days when my parents had people come on their farm to peel coconuts to make copra for DCP and that was hard work.. at that time the got only 3 cents for every coconuts they peeled.. so one had to peel 1000 coconuts to get $30, when they were finished they hands was sore and had warts.. that was in the late 80’s early 90’s dont know how much it pays today

Hard work never killed anyone. They benefit from their toil. As long as he eats well, sleeps well and live a godly life, all hopefully.
Keep in mind God has arranged that everyone will not be journalists, doctors, engineers, lawyers, accountants, nurses, office workers, business owners, etc. Some will be farmers and/or assist with farming. They are all careers. The country/world could not function and survive otherwise without them.

      @ tect

The government and those in authority serve as advisors and to financially assist, if necessary. Is anyone listening? The public/ farmers have a part to play. They cannot depend solely on the government. Are you not aware of that? Shame on you if you do not know of this simple, yet important matter and do not think of it. What are you doing for Dominica except making comments?

Peel coconuts with a pick-axe or as we say in patois “louchette”? You must be from Mars

      • Kalinago in New York
        August 1, 2012

Exactly. From Mars! Who peels coconuts with a pickax? A “PICK” is “Pick”. A Pickax is a Pickax. I guess the person just made a mistake. They were so confident
