PHOTO OF THE DAY: Heading for the soup pot

Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.

Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.

Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.

Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy

    Pumpkin soup is healthy and delicious. I have some other recipes for pumpkin. Makes me hungry. :)

    Nice pic. And the coconut in the background almost stole the show. I recall seeing a pumpkin that was brougnt in by a Laudat villager for a village Exhibition back in 1996 or thereabout. It weighed a startling 75 lb. Yes, 75 lb. And the skin was white. The owner weighed it in a thick raincoat, and I recall him saying that the seeds had come from France and that he had produced larger pumpkins than the one he brought for the exhibition.

      Take another look at the photo. It looks like a pumpkin to me and not a coconut.

    Next time you use this or any other food as the “photo of the day,” PLEASE cut off a little bit so we can see? the INSIDE of the pumpkin. Nowadays everybody is posting all kinds of magjee talking about photo of the day.
