To the person who accused Mamo of having Dominicans in poverty – Defend your statement. How poverty? We are poorer now than ever before yet the politicians today are richer than ever. Every politician under Mamo left as they came in. Every politician today leaving millionaires.

Look at Brian Alleyne’s home. Look at Maynards home. for example. Look Look Look Look.

Look at Blackmore’s home. Look at Skerrit’s hme. Look at Austrie’s home. Look at Isidore’s home! Look. Look. Look. Look. And you have the gall to accuse mamo of leaving Dominicans poor?

You put rat to watch cheese that’s what happens and you people can’t stand the fact that it’s YOUR OWN stealing you blind while they leave you to rot! But deal with it!

    Defend your statement!

She gave the green light for the US war machine to invade the Caribbean…and she got paid…what did she do with the money???? Can you imagine Bradley tanks rolling in little Grenada…terrible times; Maurice Bishop an agent of change in the Caribbean, a threat to Eugenia and company. Where would we be now if only things had been different. I loved this man with a passion, so calm, so cool, so committed to a better Caribbean….

Those were the days when there was that sense of national pride and security. That was a great leader.. A no nonsense leader who didn’t compromise her values or those of the nation. Gone but her legacy leaves on not just in Dominica but on an international level.

    Remember that there were also:

    • Less human resources retention
    • Less high school graduates
    • Less College graduates
    • Less diplomat relation (friends)
    • Less US Aid
    • Less established business
    • Less entrepreneurs
    • Less tax revenue
    • Less tourist
    • Less remittances from the diaspora
    • Less medical personnel
    • Less educational personnel yet her contribution was much appreciated and her legacy will indeed live on.
Let’s look at the positive contribution that was made then, and appreciate and build on what we have now for the betterment of the country.

And you got your statistics from where exactly? For the record, because that is what you want to believe doesn’t make it a fact but let me give you some facts.

      Today, after UWP and LABOUR:
      – we have more crime than ever
      – more drugs than ever
      – more corruption than ever
      – blatant grotesque destruction of the constitution
      – more migration than ever
      – more rich politicians than ever
      – more unemployment than ever
      – more businesses closing down than ever
      – less farmers than ever
      – less tourists than ever
      – less DSS contributors than ever
      – highest DOMLEC bills than ever so thank god for Mamo’s hydro plant
      – highest debt than ever with the lowest production than ever

and the list goes on but you know all that. You also know China now owns us. Venezuela now owns us. We produce nothing and live off foreign aid, remittances and you now beg every Wednesday at Red Clinic.

So yes I look at Mamos contribution everyday and appreciate it. Children today will not be doing the same 20 years from now and you know that too.
