I would love to learn how to make farine. My grandmother used to make farine for her kids when she had no money too bye bread but she passed away.
Wonderful this needs to be taught and passed on to the younger generations.
A farine bad too wi… Mmhmmm!
I hope that my eyes are not playing tricks on me, I can see that a tree is growing in the platin and the roots have dirt, so one would think that the dirt is mixing with the farine as the platin is getting heat

WOW, Nice pic! it reminds me of the days, when my late Grand Mother would spend 3-4 days in the platin making farine, those are great memories. Up till today, I think we made the best farine in Grand Bay.
Almost looks like the way they prepare the little white boy in the heights of Colombia.
Weh,,,,,platin sa’a jha vweh shaleh papa. Wve Bon Cassav osi.
Precious moments
Just back from DA.
Drove pass where the bread was made. Was not ready on either occasion and could not pass back.
This is on my ‘must do’ list when I return next year. Oh sweet memories of childhood.
All natural old school process going on there eh. Dominica so unique man.
I still like farine and zaboca or farine and sugar. It brings back childish memories.
Well.. I agree with you. We were all childish in our childhood.
