    Thought he river is not in its best condition the picture is still a beauty…… My main concern her is why are there houses so close to the river itself?

    In the event that nature was to take a course and the river followed it original path then its sad to say these houses will be damaged :(

    Lovely piture! But it is such a shame what has become of the Layou River. Which was one of the best attractions in Dominica. :( :(

      OMG what has happened to the lovely Layou River, that was my most fav place to go and have a river bath after being at the beach all day, on my way home.

    what!this is the mouth of the layou river?OMG, this is sad,man something have to be done, with the way the land is being manage, i woulden’t be suprise we have less rivers than we claim.

    where is Hillsborough?

    Gosh… it is such a shame that I am Dominican and have spent more time abroad than home, and I do not know that so much beauty is contained in this small island.

      My sentiment excatly.Been away from home for so long that I dont recognize the places that they show in these pictures. One thing I know is I almost drown in that damn spot when I was 15yrs old.
