PHOTO OF THE DAY: Navigating the Waitukubuli National Trail

Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.

Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.

Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.

    I always look forwarsd to DNO for a pic from my home people. We are not professionals just islanders going around taking pics and letting people get a glimpse of what our island look like. Nice pic great scenery. Another one added to my list. Memories, memories……sweet memories……keep doing what you all are doing promoting our island.

    Oh that lovely water . . . . . . .if a picture paints a thousand words, well this one has. The sheer natural beauty of Dominica is beyond any words. How i wish i was on that trail.

    i think they should build a simple bridge,place a few logs across so you have the option of not getting your feet wet.

        well i’vehiked severel 5000 feet moutains. how manyy mountains have you hiked. planning on hiking mount washington soon over 6000 feet. so please don’t talk to me about experience, i have chosen to walk in ice cold water on occasion so don’t talk to me about experience. again youshould have an option.

        There is absolutely no reason to call someone a fool because of a simple suggestion made, and it is a good suggestion, so be a man/woman and apologize. Why are we always so busy to insult others for absolutely no reason?

        that was a great suggestion toplace a bridge…. hot den cold den back to hot not a very good idea of you tryin to avoid leg cramps…. nice photo by the way Mr.J

      Great suggestion Tiny. Persons have complained about removing their Shoes and socks to tread through cold water on their hot feet.

      Just for the record a bridge is being built there. It can’t be seen on the picture but one is under construction just a metre from that log seen in the picture. Please don’t be so ignorant :)
