Before the advent of modern buildings these types of houses were seen all over the island. This uninhabited house is located in Portsmouth.

Wasn’t much different when Hurricane David visited Dominica. Wonder if it can still stand up to that kind of fury!
That’s right. Never judge a house by its cover!
Is that the 4 Million mansion that is being built in the north of the island for a “certain” politician? If it is then I really don’t see what all the fuss is about. Nice pic DNO…brings back memories.

You know exactly what she means. HER mother was SINGLE mom! No daddy around….smh
Satisfied living in a house like that? Eben ignorance is bliss.
you fool is love that make a home is not what it loos like. thats why you have all those with mansion dying because of bills. at the sametime i am not against those who have a bigger house. but those days to me were precious cause we could come together as a family and laugh and have a merrt time. now everyone get so cohpawazon.
What does satisfied mean to you? Big house? lots of bling? then owing the bank and everywhere else but cannot sleep? Well for some, satisfied means a roof and food to eat, go figure, keep an open mind.
Why not, is a roof over your head….you not living on the streets…you’re the ignorant one. So of us just know how to make the most out of whatever little we have.
I was born and lived for many years in a house like this one.I don’t know wether or not that i was satisfied but know that i was very happy with my hard working mother. It forced us to stay close. Only fights were with the PINESE( bed bugs) and trust me, they were a lot!!!HAHA
