WOW, my hubby (from Dublanc) has told me tonnes of stories, but to see a fish that big…amazing. Hats off to you fisherman.

shame on this fisherman for placing the fish on the ground. Practice what fisheries teach you because you know better

This may seem “unprofessional” but these salt-drenched rocks are way more sanitized than the bacteria infested cutting boards/tables in many stinking and “fly haven” fisheries. Fish poisoning is unheard of in Dominica.

We need a mini fisheries complex for the Calibishie – Anse Du Mai area. A great pic!!! but what does it say about food safety standards.. Will we continue to process food (fish) in this manner as we advance in our development. I beg to differ.

        CHA.

Hello good morning. This fisherman should be prepared by at least having a table on shore to clean his catch . I gave you a thumbs up because you mentioned my well sanitized kitchen which is something the fisherman should learn about when dealing with food. I think both of us are concerned about cleanliness and food safety. When I Am in DA and I purchase fish I want to be assured that its safe to eat. Thanks.

All they are doing is removing the guts before they put the fish on ice. What’s so unsanitary about that?
