Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.
Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.
Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.
Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy.’
I painted the Mural in this picture and removed a ton of rubbish and rusted appliances from the surrounding area. I found many of the locals to be very helpful and protective of the area once we cleaned it up. I miss Connie very much.
Some of the comments really set me to thinking (again) how those blue eyes have turned the concept of beauty upside down, to suit his machinations and quest for dominion. Black really is beautiful. As someone said, lets truly begin to celebrate our blackness – in all its representations.
Thanks for the pic.
I’M not trying to be a kill joy this photo was taken by Connie’s right, but please go further down the beach to the derelict Castaways Hotel we won’t be proud of what we humans leave on the beach, it saddens me that families come to the beach with their children normally on Sundays and litter the Mero beach, if you dear tell them to dispose of their waste. I will guarantee you will get some verbal abuse. In order for we Dominicans to claim that we are the Nature Island of the Caribbean we must respect the natural beauty that God has given us, so I appeal to all who uses the beaches in our country keep them clean. It’s not hard work keeping them clean that also applies to the purple turtle beach in Portsmouth
wish we were there now . we love the people, the town ,every part of the island. we are comming back this christmas , princess please save some time to hang out with us , we missed you last christmas. hope you still have the poster i made you and kiss the baby for us.
