hey mi lie this pic look good for real
I live in Toronto, 36 years now, but I have no desire to continue living here. By the will of God I want to go back to my Dominica within the next few years. After spending six weeks in Dominica in 2008, and seeing all of those breath-taking sceneries of her beauty through internet photographs, I am convinced that Life is in Dominica and that is where I belong.
People of Dominica, you live there so perhaps you do not realize the jewel of Life that you have. But that is the way it always is: I believe it was the Mighty Sparrow who said, You never miss de water till de well run dry. I am sure that a lot of us who live outside of our Dominica feel that way.
Today, I was sitting at a Macdonalds restaurant eating a snack; and the television there, was on with the news and videos. I was at far distance from the TV so I could not read what the news cast was all about. But I could see all kinds of different scenes of violence of war from different places. At a certain time I noticed a pile of people running in an area that looked like a city street, and there were quite a few large animals like cows among them. The people and animals were all running in the same direction and I kept wondering who was running from what.
I am telling this story to compare the peace and joy that we have in Dominica, and who can say that is not true, when we look at an exquisite picture like today’s picture of Roseau. I am not saying that we do not have unrest in Dominica, but what is our unrest compared to the nightmare other people of other countries live with on a daily basis. Just over in Jamaica, over 70 people died last month trying to protect one of their drug lords.
May we continue to give thanks to our God, for our blessed Dominica. Amen!
And thank you to the photographer for a picture that enchants the mood of peace and tranquility in the hearts Dominicans and all people who are willing to accept this enchantment.
