Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.
Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.
Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.
Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy.’
To Sunday Islander. It is obvious that you are not from Dominica
Dominican Abroad. when you visit the site again inspect the Dam at the western tip of the lake.
The Fresh Water Lake is really a man-made Dam which is supplying water to the turbines at the Padu Power Station.
And the Internet Award for the Day goes to you.
Congratulationsl
Foolish!!
“The Lake was originally of volcanic origin but construction of a dam some years ago as part of the hydo-electric scheme increased the size of the lake.” – http://www.avirtualdominica.com/freshwaterlake.cfm
The volcanic crater exists which is the original space of the lake but the water level most likely increased significantly because of the dam. Haha I bet some of the people giving thumbs down have never even been to the lake.
