anonymous do not be ignorant you can not put a basket ball court in there, they need to try and find funding for a basketball stadium, and it does not have to be big like windsor park,

I agree with “singlemama” in her reply to “Me”! If someone submitted a photo of a stadium in the heart of Roseau, with such a background to go with it, before there was actually a stadium?….then I can understand the criticism. OMG ppl…THIS IS OURS! The picture of the 2008 Olympic Stadium in China was amazing yes! But did it have such a majestic background such as this?

I give this pic 99.99999999% thumbs-up for real D/can beauty! The missing 0.00000001% ….would be lovely if there were players on the field at the time it was taken. Would have brought it a bit more warmth….. But all-in-all….. FANTASTIC!

this pic shows a waste of tax payers money,,,,, all lits brightly lit to an empty stadium,,, well this pic is photo-shopped since it show people in the stands looking at a covered pitch preferably from rain but yet there’s no rain lol,,,, but in reality that’s how it does look,,,, light lit and no activity is taking place,, who u think pays for the light bill and maintenance of the stadium,,,,, most definitely not supremo

You are so contradictory. In your earlier comment you mentioned having a conference seat for the world cup. Now your blasting it as a waste of tax payers money.

What tax payer money — this was funded by communist China to forge relations with Dominicans – this created jobs to build it!

This is a beautiful picture of the Stadium and a beautiful scenery. As always: “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.”
It gives those who are residing abroad and who have not yet seen it, although eager to see it in time and soon enough, a good view of it.
Dominica is shaping up very nicely. If progress keeps up, one day it will be like a City, be it small. The population is not important. You are residing there, be happy and make the most of it.
Dominica residents of all, appreciate what you have today. In bygone years we did not have all this. We never dreamt that Dominica would be progressive in such a manner. This progress is ongoing.
You do not know how fortunate you are in addition to residing in beautiful, sunny, warm Dominica with this hot weather.
Therefore, encourage and help your country and fellow Dominicans and support your present government. This is the only way to happiness, peace, progress and success. Learn a lesson from this. Unfair and undue criticism will get us nowhere.
Then, pray to God for Dominica and Dominican nationals as yourself, for protection from disasters, unrest and war. Pray also for your Prime Minister, opposition members, other oppositions and all those who stand in the way of Dominica’s progress.
God bless Dominica and fellow Dominican nationals.

Very well said “Truth, Justice, Love, Peace and Unity” We also should offer prayers of gratitude to the Most High for protecting us thus this far taking into account what is happenning world wide. We have to be ever grateful and dwell on the positive.. no many negatives vibes and cursing tongues on our country.

Blessings to you and all who wish and pray for our country’s and inhabitants progress.

      Give me strength.

I hope we wont be seated any where near you. To make sure that you recognise us, we’ll be the ones sipping champagne, and just to be social we’ll let you lick the cork.

Honestly, what has the picture or cricket got to do with Skeritt or red clinic.

i wonder why are u a ‘fed up dominican’ n don’t tell me it’s because of people like me,,,, this trick is old,,, u still drink champagne well oh well u must be one of the uptight bigots,,,,, i don’t drink such but rather my ciroc and crystal,,, if not then i’ll get the ace of spades,,,, a lil remy martin does the trick sometimes,,,, yeah good fun too,,,,

          March 28, 2011

Your comments leave you wide open to caustic replies.

Seeing as you name dropped, Crystal is a brand of champagne, so is Ace of Spades ‘Brut’.

My sign on ‘Fed up Dominican’ is simply because I am fed up of the moans and groans of some of the people who only see negativity and who are so politicaly blinded (yes like you), but I wont be put off. I’m here to stay and loving it.

    Ok the pic is nice.
I seem to have a problem with some of our photographers who depend so much on photoshop to polish pictures! Come on, once in a while just use the pic as is, and stop exaggerating it so much!!

enough with your pessimism already! This is a very lovely photo. Hats off to the photographer for captivating a truly wonderful scene from our beautiful nature isle. Da I am blessed to be part of you.

That doesn’t look photoshopped. Although i know very little of photography that looks to me like a shot taken by a really good camera with high exposure so as to capture as much ambient light as possible, the result being the rich lighting and color tones in this pic.
