Alone in a crowd
Enjoying my own company
Wondering who would dare
Disturb my solitude!
I am warm in the assurance
Of the love surrounding me
Protecting me from harm
Even in a crowded street.
The hustle and bustle flows around me
But I am undisturbed
Secure in the knowledge
Of who I am.
Laughter, joy, tears and pain
Are all part of my reality
But when I am with me
Nothing can disturb – my solitude!
