POEM: This Child, My Child

By Philbert George

When I look into the eyes of my child
I see beauty entwined with innocence
I see boldness unmatched-
Mischief beyond limits

When I look into the eyes of my child
I am in awe of how brave she can be
The chances she takes-
Her creativity

When I look into the eyes of my child
I see a blessed miracle-
A determination unsurpassed-
A carefree spirit I can’t unravel

When I look into the eyes of my child
I’m reminded of mercy’s grace
Her assertiveness-
That inquisitive look on her face

When I look into the eyes of my child
I can’t help but be amazed
By the wonders displayed

When I hold her in my arms
I know This Child is
My Child…

How lovely and sweet can one express words and how perfoundly it brings such a universal feeling.
Bless you for your thoughts. Keep up with composing these words, it will echo from the eyes of the child through the hearts of all of us and back to you, it will then end up at the gates of the great God and before heavenly angels who are waiting to see and hear the perfection of the soul of the Human as God had meant to be.

    Best Regards,
