POETRY: The system

Corruptive!
Deceptive!
We’re living in a world where the poor continues to suffer
The rich continues to become richer
We’re living in a system that needs abolishing
A system that needs recycling

Crime and violence are on the rise like cost of living
Suffering escalating
Poor people crying
Poverty victims dying
Cancer patients praying

When will world leaders put aside their differences and unite ?
When will they join forces ? When will they end the fight?
When will they think as leaders rather than politicians ?
When will they live up to all realistic expectations ?
Nation against nation, war against terrorism !
Or is it a war for supremacy ?
Everyone wants to be in control, everyone wants to lead, no one wants to follow
Destruction is the path they pave, ill decisions create nothing but pain and sorrow

As corruptive as the system may be
We are our worst enemy
We undermine each other, fight against each other
We refuse to see each other happy, we refuse to be our brother’s keeper
We have become a nation of vampires, preying on each other
Refusing to be our brother’s keeper

Stop! People are crying
Dying!
Constantly suffering
Struggling!
As you turn on the television you see devastation taking place in the world
You see pain on the faces of so many innocent boys and girls
You see the future of tomorrow
You see a challenging life with great sorrow
You see destruction, you see death
You see people living in regret
You see mental, physical and emotional scars
You see the end quickly approaching like speeding cars

How can our youths have hope when the world have gone mad ?
How can they survive in a world that’s heading for destruction,
how can they smile when everything around them makes them sad?

It is easy to sit back and say, governemnt this, politicians that, no money, crime up, boo hoo hoo, etc etc…lBut we forget to mention the lazy people who would rather rob and steal than work hard for their money, we forget those who like the easy money and fast track life by dopping up young kids, we expect the government or politician to make life easy for us but we for get these are people just like us and no government or politican can make your life better. We redicule chinese and haitians but we should be learning by there examples. These people work hard to support their families and if we would put in an inch of the effort that they do, we would make our own lifes better. Ever notice u never hear chinese involved in some robbery or theft? thats because they are to busy working hard. We complain to much and expect things easy and handed to us and forget that no one is here to please us, we please only ourselves. we must remember that someone out there always have it harder and we must work for our better life and brighter future and stop looking for some politician or government to hand us the golden platter, because as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, that golden platter ain’t gonna happen. we create our future, no one hands it to us and we find our destinys, no one brings it to us.

it would be unfair to say that our people are lazy yes there are the lazy ones but this poem is specifically directed towards the system, there are many different issues to tackle, the system, the people etc. Our leaders are elected to assist in the betterment of our country, hard times does contribute towards crime, not everyone would be able to withstand the negatives

According to the N.K.J.V Study Bible foot note.
“One glorious day there will be an end to all weapons,an end to all warfare. This will be possible only because of the reign of the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6),The Savior King whose name is Jesus….Isaiah 2:4”
