Cornel Dominique, 17, of Goodwill, is nursing injuries at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) following an incident on Tuesday 23rd, August 2016, in which he sustained an injury to the right side of his abdomen
Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Acting Inspector Pellam Jno. Baptise said the incident occurred at about 1:15 pm on Hillsborough Street, Roseau.
Dominique was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the PMH where he was examined by a medical doctor and admitted.
Jno Baptiste said that a 64-yr-old male of Hillsborough Street has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Investigations are ongoing.
He said the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force wishes Dominique a speedy recovery.

Boy look bad reporting. You mean to tell me that’s how an acting police inspector reporting? Are we in Venezuela where news cannot be freely reported?
The acting inspector gives us the name of the victim, his age, the injured he suffered, where he from and the hospital where he is at but not a thing about what kind of injury he suffered. Was he shot on his abdomen? Was he stabbed? Was he pushed to the ground? Were they fighting? Were they fighting? All he said is, a 64 year old was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
If that’s what Blackmoore is upset about and threatens to make major change and is not ruling out foreigner, then I don’t blame him because certainly this report sounds like that of a 5 year old that trying to tell mom what he heard.
You scrutinize what is stated and also criticize how it is stated. Is that all you are capable of?
