UPDATE: Police identify body found under Canefield cliff

The body was recovered from the sea on Monday

Police have identified the lifeless body of a man found floating in the Caribbean Sea under the Canefield Cliff, near Fond Cole, as that of Raymond Armantrading, 63.

The body was discovered on Monday in close proximity to a beached cargo vessel.

Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Simon Edwards, said the body was secured by personnel of the Marine Unit and brought to shore on the rocks by the highway by police officers at 10 am on Monday.

Edwards said that information received indicates that Armantrading was last seen alive in the sea at Pottersville at 7:30 am on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

He said the body was taken to the Roseau Health Center by personnel of the Lyndhurst Funeral Home where it was officially pronounced dead by a medical doctor.

The body was then transported to the Lyndhurst Funeral Home.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

R.I.P Raymond aka BOFFIE from canefield. you had your ways but the entire community of canefield will surely miss your presence in the community.
FYI he was last seen in the sea on the weekend not the Thursday. learn to investigate better than that. this police force is a shame! Dominica police force is very lazy!!! COUNTLESS UNSLOVED DEATHS/MUDERS/MISSING PERSONS REPORTS HAS PROVEN IT!
