A bus has overturned at Stockfarm injuring four, according to reports reaching DNO.
Reports indicate that the bus was on its way to the Princess Margaret Hospital with a man who was injured in a fight in Yam Piece when the accident occurred.
The bus driver was injured with at least one other man suffering a broken leg and a woman suffering trauma to the waist, according to an eye witness.
It is reported that the bus driver was trying to avoid a pedestrian when the bus overturned.
an accident can happen to anyone at anytime. dominica is in a bad state cus all we are good at is negative things. and to all them stockfarm pple casting foolish remarks, you need to start paying the bus fees so the drivers can help them selves when we are in situations like these. god knows the amount we have to put up with then you coming on about speeding and who bs you doh like. pay up !

Something needs to be done about road safety. Reckless driving – whichever way you look at it. Driving too fast as usual. I hope everyone recovers, and in future tell drivers to slow down.
You need to open your eyes as an observer. Granted, the driver may have been driving too fast. Did you read the article that the bus driver was trying to avoid a pedestrian? Some pedestrians also like walking on the road rather than on the side of the road.

The driver should be charged with reckless driving, as clearly stated in the article he was transporting someone to the hospital. Thats motivce to speed and as stated in a comment the roads are narrow and pedestrians have very little to no room to walk freely so there fore they may step into the street to walk freely especially after sundown. The onus is on the drivers to also look for such pedestians and nt make silly comments when an accidnet like this occurs. plase comment on facts and not opinions. Thank you

Keith, my advice to you is to study hard in school and graduate so that you could get a good job and re-locate elsewhere in Dominica, if you continue living there.

Sadly, this happens occasionally. I wish the driver well including the others who are injured.
There are times that an ambulance transporting a patient to the hospital or traveling for an emergency gets into an accident; not in DA. They have to drive quickly with the siren on and trying to avoid vehicles which are supposed to stop when they hear the siren. Yet some of them do not, as always, trying to rush through traffic and block the path of the ambulance.
