TOKYO – (AP) Japan’s Meteorological Agency says a magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck the central, mountainous part of the country hours after a massive quake hit off the country’s northeastern coast.
Dozens of aftershocks have rattled Japan’s northeast since Friday’s magnitude 8.9 temblor, but the most recent quake was in an entirely different location.
The latest quake hit early Saturday at a depth of six miles (10 kilometers), about 105 miles (170 kilometers) north of Tokyo.
It caused buildings in Tokyo to sway. There were no immediate reports of damage.

In this age and times there is all sorts of warning–just as Jesus spoke them–to convict us that His second return just around the corner. This tragedy in Japan, is another one of them; but will those who survive take heed; that is the only message they need to hear.
What can we do now for those who have died? It is too late to hope for their salvation, if they did not secure the Life, before this thing happened to them.
What is most significant to us as human beings is that we do not leave this world with a carnal mind, pride and arrogance, total and foolish ignorance of God, and total separtation from Him because we refuse to apply faith; neither should we allow Jesus to find us in that stature of existence.
Apostle Paul tells us: “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep–die–but we shall be changed–in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound. and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we–those who are still alive–shall be changed–meaning that death will be no more”. For this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, as DEATH is swallowed up in victory. 1st Corinthians 15: 51-54
But what will be our state of eternal existence? There will be two of those states–some will continue in their state of everlasting torment because of a mind that is carnal, cannot comprehend and to produce the ecstasy of Love–Life in Spirit and Truth.
On the other hand, others will have allowed God to renew their minds–transforming them to become like Jesus–the Man with a perfect body and the Mind of Love–to function with Life and it abundance because of the blood of Jesus Christ.
The choice is ours to make; each PERSON will be accountable for his/her fate. There is a very important message from the Richardsons on Alive Word. today. I wonder how many of us will even think about reading it, much more to leave a testimony of our understanding and acceptance of that message.
But those are the messages that will prompt us to surrender our lives to God, now, not tomorrow!

Maji…..that was the first quake. You should read more and try to understand. The first earthquake had a magnitude of 8.9 followed by aftershocks weighing in above 6.0. the largest was 6.6 or 6.7. Get your facts straight

In a more serious note, our thoughts are with the Japanese people. Our daughter lived and worked there for 2 years and made many friends while there. She is deeply saddened and trying to make contact with friends out there. She was always telling us about the frequent tremors that everyone took in their strides.
The Japanese are strong and resillent people and are able to cope with anything.
