In DA anyone could buy a motorcycle, put insurance and registration and ride. No training or riding test is given. No riding instructions, no manual no nothing. So, what do you expect when you have people riding who cannot read traffic signs; let alone follow them? Dominica we talking bout wi!!

We are heading towards a lost generation of young Dominicans males. thru accidents , alcoholism, murder , lost at sea thru the French channels imprisonment due to burglary excreta , we need to embark on a public education campaign thru television, and public information to save this generation or we will perish as a people, Dominica will no longer belongs to Dominicans it will be all foreigners and that is not a good state of affair .

Something must be done about the rash of deaths involving motor bikes in DA . The rate is ridiculous . Some serious enforcement and public awareness is in order .

So sad that two people loose their lives just like that. A son, a brother, or father so sad. These Dominican bike riders and some motor vehicle drivers thinks the road belongs to them and that they are a superman. I see how they drive when I come back home on vacation. Most drivers see me in a rental or other visitors and they just assume and think that the driver in the rental is a “Visitor” when in fact that the driver is a born DOMINICAN to the bone. Dominicans please have respect for the road; and all drivers who don’t want to speed. Dominica is a small place and rushing will get you no where. When I come home on vacation, I don’t drive fast. I drive responsible and with respect for the road and other drivers. If you want to past a regular speed driver like me, just acknowledge pass with respect and don’t try to run me or other drivers off the road because you are in a hurry. driving fast and reckless does not make you a very good driver it’s just plain ignorant just…

The road there is a death trap. So sorry to hear that. Please, please people drive with great caution, not necessary to speed, take your time, life is too precious.
Can the authorities also remove obstructions along the road, especially near bends such as parked vehicles and unauthorized garages that present a safety hazard, please.
