In light of a grievous vehicular incident that took place in Vieille Case on Sunday, August 6th, claiming the lives of five young men, the Penville Village Council has organised a candle light vigil to remember the impact that these men have had on the lives of those around them.
The vigil will take place at the Junction in Penville and is expected to begin at 4:00pm.
Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for the Vieille Case constituency, Roosevelt Skerrit, will give a special address at the gathering; there will also be addresses from leaders of various denominations and from representatives of various village councils in the area.
The deceased are Mandela Ophar 21; Clement Leblanc 22; Cecil Jude Jean 21; Jean Louis Sango 25 and Chris Marcellin 29.
The public is encouraged to show support to the families and friends of the deceased in their time of grief by participating in this vigil.
