I ride a bike myself, and I noticed that people in much biger vehicles do not share the roads with bike riders. Not everyone could afford an SUV. Plus, bike riders have rights to the roads as any other motor vehicle. Time for the Government to add “BIKE LANES” in and around Roseau. I thought that you all had “Tourists” in mind! Tourists love to ride.

First of all there should be ambulance, fire trucks and policemen on the scene.
Dominica needs a better health care system implemented in the country.
Why can’t the ministry of health do something about that building a better well equipped hospital.
    Then introduce 911 or something…
But again if taxes are not paid what then?

And who says that this guy is the rider anyways.

    • June 14, 2013

Where is the victim? The only “injured” object is a motorcycle, according to the pic. SMH

I know the only thing laying on the ground is a bike, or maybe I cannot see too well ALAS Dominicans really like to be negative eh (especially when it comes to police) you should be happy they were at the scene at all SMDH. If ignorance is bliss, Dominicans must be the happiest people alive wi

How do you know thats the victim? and even if he is the victim…Does he look like he is in need of any assistance? and what do you want a policeman to do? rub his shoulders? This man looks like he is inspecting the bike

what i saw was that the biker was sitting on mc millan shop step holding his chest obviously in pains. and the police men have a book infront him taking a statement instead of trying to get him to the hospital, you ask them to get insured and licenced and when you jam them you treat them like they have no right on the road. they could have questioned him at the hospital.

    June 13, 2013

What do their presence signify? I mean the guys in uniform? are these police officers? The rider has to be injured. Eventhough he seem fine there.

  7. sayodityodit
    June 13, 2013

I think these pics were taken after the statements and all the police investigating was done because the article says the rider was injured I see no injured person there. So these pics look like the cleaning up after the accident. That is why the police men are just looking on.

      • June 13, 2013

That is not the point. People riding scooters, bicycles, motorcycles, are not following road rules. They weave between bigger vehicles because they think they can. Yes they pay for registration and insurance just like others but they do have to follow the same road rules. Do not get me wrong, people driving cars and trucks do not follow road rules either.

It’s just a scooter. How many people u think u need to lift that? Give them cops a break.

Them scooter riders in Roseau are a pure nuisance. Anybody that’s driven in Roseau can relate to that.
Still, I’m happy no one was seriously hurt.

  19. Come on people
    June 13, 2013

I wish we would stop slamming our policemen. Come on people!!! So DNO must now carry live videos of crime scenes so you would see the police moving about? It’s a picture people it is supposed to be still so you it would seem as though they are standing around. DUUUHHH!!!

And of course they would have an air about them- they are supposed to wear their uniform proudly- in fact anybody in a uniform should wear it proudly and that can be mistaken for an “air”.

Let us pray that the victim/victims recover soon. Be careful on the road; that should be the focus here.

    God bless.
