There is no dark clouds in Dominica. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. There are cotton wool over the eyes of the people in Dominica. There are no side walks, they drove in the night with no lights, no bell, no brakes. The parents ,Police, teachers, nurses and the public they all know it and did or say nothing. The last resort is to pay the family well for neglect.

For goodness sake, a bicycle! You killed a senior citizen. The man was enjoying his latter years and you snuffed him out with a little bicycle?
Should you have been riding a bicycle at 7:30 pm and with no lights? Did you not consider that pedestrians will be walking on the road and you should look out for them and not ride fast? You should also have a bell which will alert them so if they are walking on the road, they will steer clear of your bicycle.
You will have to answer to the police. On what part/side of the road were you riding? You should have a bicycle light and a bell as well. As any vehicle, you should watch out for pedestrians.
Do you even have money/insurance to pay his funeral expenses and to give to his beneficiaries?
There is no excuse if even the man was walking on the road. You should have looked out for him.
My sympathy to his family. I imagine your shock of what occurred to your loved one. Be strong.
May his soul rest in peace. Amen!

Well this not the first person I know of who died as a result of bicycle collision. I remember years ago, probably the 90’s, this young beautiful lady was struck down by a cyclist and later died of her injuries. Nothing was ever done about it. Are there any laws or punitive measures in place for these cyclists? Do they even pay a license fee? Can they be made accountable for the circumstances? I am not saying that they were at fault of the accident but so many of them ‘show off their’ cycling skills at the risk of injuring others. Underage youngsters are often seen riding carelessly on the public roads. Something needs to be done about this. Smh.

If only they would ride on the side and not in the middle of the road. The government will have to implement a stringent law for them.

There is definitely a dark cloud hanging over the island, too many evil and demonic worshipping in Dominica today, when we forget God and put satan first to gain worldly things, power etc what do we expect, when we have some priest, pastors, evangelist etc forgetting God and preaching politics in churches encouraging worshippers to forget God and worship man/a sinner giving praise to a sinner, calling a sinner God, comparing a sinner to God etc what do we expect, we forget God, satan will rules, sin, crime, corruption, murder etc is taking over dominica, Like it or not Dominica is doomed, theisland is no longer what it used to be before these Young Freedom Party guys hijacked the Labour Party

why everything has to be political. it’s an accident. Accidents do happen, and it happens everywhere. just ask God to cover you with his precious blood and protect you and your family.

      My goodie two shoes, eh.
You mean some careless and inconsiderate drivers/riders who also cause this dark cloud.
You lie and exaggerate about whom you talk about.
What about you? Is your life perfect? People as you should be ignored.
Instead of all this criticism, commence praying for everyone including cyclists that the latter may ride carefully, look out for pedestrians and avoid running into them. This is what you should be doing, not criticizing others and judging them when you, yourself are well-deserving of being judged. God will take care of you in time.

A bicycle accident and a man is dead. My sympathy to his family and friends and the rider of the bicycle and his family deserves our sympathy also, I cannot imagine what both families must be going through.

We always tell our children to wear a helmet and the younger ones, elbow and knee pads, that is to protect them, little did I think an adult could die being struck by a bicycle. He must have hit his head very hard when he fell or the bicycle or something else could have pierce some part of his body or fright could have caused a heart attack. Chances are, though very sad, he did not suffer long.

His number was up. The Father called him home.

May his soul rest in peace.

Cease being superstitious. People make up a country. Their actions could be disastrous to others.
Do you pray for Dominica and nationals; even yourself? Those who worship God and pray never consider that. They know disasters will occur. In addition, there are too many inconsiderate people who think only of themselves and not of others.
