Grenada, CCCU contribute to Erika relief efforts

CCCU Central Co-operative Credit Union has announced plans to donate

$50, 000 towards the Government’s storm relief efforts.

“We recognise that the rebuilding process will be a challenging one, but we are confident that our resilience and faith as Dominicans will ensure that our beloved Nature Isle returns to a state of normalcy in record time,” CCCU President Patrick Pemberton stated in the release.

CCCU extends condolences to those who have lost their loved ones, and sympathizes with those who have been injured or lost property.

And as relief support pours in, Minister for  Health and Social Security of Grenada ,Nickolas Steele made a donation on behalf of his island to Dominica.

A press release stated that Grenada has given trauma medical supplies which were received by Permanent Secretary of Health and Environment , Helen Royer.

The Grenada Health Minister said, “Grenada sympathizes with Dominica, as we suffered a similar fate in 2004. We will continue to support Dominica its recovery efforts.”
