La Plaine man dead after allegedly ingesting poisonous substance

Police have confirmed that a La Plaine man is dead after allegedly ingesting a poisonous substance.

Fifty-nine-year-old Lambert Jno Baptiste of La Plaine was pronounced dead on arrival at the Princess Margaret Hospital yesterday morning.

The man was found at his residence in La Plaine at 10:30 am. Reports indicate that he may have ingested a weedicide.

According to Police Public Relations Officer Inspector Claude Weekes, a coroner’s inquest will be convened and a post-mortem and investigations into his death will be conducted.

Probably Paraquat, grammazone or related poisoning. The use of this stuff or rather misuse is something that needs to be looked into. We don’t need this stuff in the food and water supply here to gradually poison people. This is counter productive to the title of “The Nature Island.”

that’s just to show how low we the people of dominica can stoop. we will sell our souls for nothing and we will try to bring a brother or sister down even when in their saddest times. my fellow dominicans have we no hearts, have we not a consence my god have the devil really taken over the souls of our people? to hear that crap of the man killed himself over politics is to show just how our people have no heart. micheal jackson had so many problems and the good lord said it was enough
and the good lord said that this brother had enough also. the lord giveth and the lord taketh my brother so don’t you dear question that or bring in election in that . instead you should say a prayer for the man. god bless man. and may this person soul rest in peace.

Some people like to run their mouth, but everyone of us sometime in life has come to a conclusion to take our life or somebody’s life , when we are under pressure. And because of God’s grace we sometimes overcome those problems. sympathy to the family.

Yep, Grammasone and paraquat are the leading substances typically used in suicides. It doesn’t take much to do you in. It might be food for thought for you farmers that are not doing organic farming, to think of how you may be poisoning the population.

My condolences to his family… when things like this happens it saddens me, because no one knows what went on in his mind…no one knows what happened…. I am sure he may have struggled with the thought for a while…but may God give his family the strenght to face this trial….I will remember your family in prayer…
