I think its time we look at a ferry service more seriously,,and I believe more people will travel,,

Thanks, it does help that Guadeloupe has become the alternative daily stop instead of Melville Hall, but it still involves on onward ferry connection from Point a Pitre to Roseau, which to my information does not operate every day and involves an overnight stay. The sooner we get our own main airport operational again the better, especially with the tourist season approaching. In this regard I would like to see an extension of the Winair arrangement of a daily connection with St. Maarten in- & out of Canefield, at least till such time the service with Melville Hall is fully restored. Tourists, especially from N. America do not want to use an elaborate and time-consuming routing via Guadeloupe involving extra expense.

LIAT have messed me around so much! If you are in Sint Maarten/St Martin fly Antilles Air (ticket office on the French side airport) to Guadeloupe – Much cheaper!
