I think its time we look at a ferry service more seriously,,and I believe more people will travel,,
Thanks, it does help that Guadeloupe has become the alternative daily stop instead of Melville Hall, but it still involves on onward ferry connection from Point a Pitre to Roseau, which to my information does not operate every day and involves an overnight stay. The sooner we get our own main airport operational again the better, especially with the tourist season approaching. In this regard I would like to see an extension of the Winair arrangement of a daily connection with St. Maarten in- & out of Canefield, at least till such time the service with Melville Hall is fully restored. Tourists, especially from N. America do not want to use an elaborate and time-consuming routing via Guadeloupe involving extra expense.
LIAT have messed me around so much! If you are in Sint Maarten/St Martin fly Antilles Air (ticket office on the French side airport) to Guadeloupe – Much cheaper!
They have no Plans. Liat not nice but we will rise again
What about the 16th onwards. When are they planning to fly into Dominica?
when the relevant authorities give Melville Hall the OK after they have met the stipulations from the FAA.
Its an airport Needs to be cleaned, re wired, fenced……and so on and so on and MADE SAFE!!!!!!
So when are they planning to start back flying to Dominica
Well wouldn’t it be obvious they will start as soon as the airport is functional???
Like Time to stop said, THE AIRPORT HAS TO BE MADE SAFE FIRST.
