Police to investigate death of teenager

Amassa died tragically on Wednesday

Police said on Thursday that they are looking further into the death of 14-year-old Amassa Bachelor of Salisbury.

He died on Wednesday afternoon after diving into the sea from a cliff.

“Amassa Bachelor and friends, including his twin brother, went to the beach to bathe. It is reported that Amassa took a head dive from a rock after which his friends noticed that he may have been in distress. He was taken off the water with the assistance of his friends and an attempt to revive him proved futile,” said Police Public Relations Officer Claude Weekes in a report.

The boy was pronounced dead at Princess Margaret Hospital.

Weekes said a coroner’s inquest and postmortem will be carried out to further examine the cause of his death.

My heart goes out to the family. This is tragic and very sad.

Are they investigating because they have received information indicating something other than an accident occurred, or foul play was involved? Isn’t there some level of invetigation even when an accident occurs? Just asking.

I am really sorry that this young man’s life was taken this way . To the family , accept my empathy in this time of your loss . i know what this can be like . BUT I jus NEED to say this . This doesn’t sound fishy as the case of that young boy from Fond Cole who’s body was never found ….. All they accepted was that his friends say he go down ……. THAT IS SOME BULLSHIT IF I MAY SAY ….. That’s what they need to investigate … they looking for his body … if he go down the river he can only end up in the sea or on the side of the river…. they still looking … What is there to investigate about this case now ? someone please tell me….. they just gonna put this family through more stress…… WAT 4 DEM 2 GAN INVESTIGATE DEY DOH GAN INVESTIGATE ENO !!!!
