It is with deep sadness that we learnt of the passing of the five (5) young men, Chris Marcellin, Clement Leblanc, Cecil Jean, Mandella Ophar and Tervary Sango of Penville, all in their 20’s, who lost their lives in that terrible traffic accident which occurred at approximately 7:00am on Sunday, 6th August 2017 whilst commuting from the community of Thibaud to Penville.
It is indeed a very sad and painful occasion for all of us.
A tragedy of this nature calls for a national outpouring of love and solidarity with the bereaved families of those five victims and the entire communities of the Vieille Case Constituency during this painful and difficult time. It is our sincere hope and prayer that the Good Lord will fortify the bereaved parents, families, friends and residents of the Vieille Case Constituency, and be their refuge and strength during this period of sadness.
Mrs. Savarin and I join the Government and people of the Commonwealth of Dominica in conveying to the bereaved parents, families, friends and residents of the Vielle Case Constituency, our deepest condolences on this very sad occasion.
Why must it always have to be from a “constituency”, like the “Vielle Case Constituency”. Why not from the Penville and/or Vielle Case Community(ies). Everything seems to be “political”, like we no longer live in communities, but constituencies. Perhaps we are being sent a subtle message but it is so divisive, and it would appear that this divisiveness is what is being nurtured, alas for the benefit of some but to the detriment of others and our country.
i was thinking the same thing
Apparently you and Mr/Mrs Hopeful did not take you all time to read…SMH the entire constituency is grieving…shame on you
smh…that is 5 potential husbands that just died one time.
It’s so hard to find a good man in Dominica already. Lord have mercy on their souls.
Young men, please have fun but have fun in a responsible manner. Drinking and driving do not mix.
