Market Day with a Difference is supposed to be about farmers/producers and vendors. And the cultural events are there to enhance the atmosphere at the market.
Unfortunately the cultural events along with the politicians and their long speeches have become the major part of the celebrations. Let me say that I have nothing against the cultural events. There are already lots of cultural events taking place all over the country during the indepence celebrations. And that is a good thing.
However, it is high time that we take a closer look at Market Day with a Difference and make it more relevant to the people that matter. That is the farmers and the vendors. Let us celebrate agriculture!
ammmmm..what is that
I’ve always enjoy viewing all the creative diplays from the vendors at the market.that is a special day for not only the vendors but for us the buyers….
