“All shall eat” – man arrested for theft

court“All shall eat, all shall drink,” was the response given by Charles Francois of Giraudel when he was approached by the police in relation to the theft of items at a guest house.

He now has six months in jail to think of his action.

Actually, Francois was first sentenced to four months behind bars but he told Magistrate Sherma Blaize-Sylvester, that it was not enough.

When he appeared in court on Thursday, Francois pleaded guilty to stealing a large quantity of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from a Guest House in Fond Baron.

Court reports show that the items stolen amounted to $332.65 and included Vodka, Kubuli Beers, White Oak Rum, Red Cap Rum, Ginger Wine and one Orchard box drink.

Facts presented in court show that between January 31, 2016 and February 4, 2016 the owner of the guest house, Randy Peter, secured his business place and left.

On his return on February 4th, 2016 he noticed that the place was burglarized and items were missing.

He immediately reported the matter to the police.

Based on the information received, the police went in search of Francois.

On Monday February 22, 2016, they met him on the Castle Comfort road and identified themselves. He was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters.

The following day he was informed of the report made with regard to the stolen items.

“Ya I go there wi, what they say they miss there, is that,” he responded, adding, “All shall eat, all shall drink.”

When asked for the items, Francois said he drank one bottle of rum and sold the other items to a grocery shop.

The items have not been recovered.

When Francois, who has been convicted for similar offences, was given four months in jail by the magistrate, he complained that it was not enough.

The sentence was therefore increased to six months.

Based on an analysis of the above blogs, it is reasonable to presume that “justice has fled to brutish beasts and man has lost all reason and season”. Now the guilty and convicted can demand their punishment and how long that should last. A case of the tail wagging the dog?

Judicial training is absolutely necessary or a simple knowledge of the law. After the Magistrate gave him 4 months, she could not disturb the sentence. Only a Court of Appeal could. It is a little term in law that is known as Functus Officio. Teach them.

All shall eat and drink? How? By stealing the property of others? It is obvious he has ignored< "Thou Shalt Not Steal."
Some people think all they are on this earth to do is to live and steal..
Keep being lazy to seek a job and stealing people's property and say all shall eat and drink. Go before God and tell Him that and see where you will end up for all eternity.
It appears he love prison more than his freedom in society. It must be his home. He should have been given a longer sentence. Keep him there until the end of his life. He will not be able to break and enter and steal people's property.
The next time he steals, sentence him to prison for a lifetime with hard labor. Keep him busy. Make him grow fruits, vegetables and herbs in the prison compound. This should make him happy.

The grocery store that bought the stolen goods should have been charged as well. They knew the items were probably stolen, but greed prevailed.

I hope that he also heard of the scripture passage that says if a man does not work he should not eat, so all shall eat yes but not when only some work.

All of you who want to encourage this kind of wrong-doing because you are not personally affected or because you are trying to put the blame for that behaviour elsewhere, you can go right ahead but these things have a funny way of coming back!

Go ahead, make excuses for them, see what kind of society we will have soon!

“All shall eat” what happen to you boy? You should have known that all shall eat thing died in 2004, when Pierro died. That does not exist with Skerrit as his knew motto is ALL shall sell…..That’s why up to this day I cannot understand why Justina has joined Skerrit. As for me, since after Rosie and Pierro died I realized that all shall eat thing no longer exists, and therefore I went with “All shall work”, though I was once a hater.

Somebody please give this guy a doctorate and a music lovers band welcome.
The guys realizes that the only way “all shall eat while some eating all” is thru crime and added punishment.

Brother during your 6 month vacation if you can figure out how to steal passports then your next declaration should be . All Can Sell.

    February 26, 2016

So where did the person at the grocery shop think he got the things to sell to him? Could they have been charged with handling stolen goods?

    • BEB
      February 26, 2016

I think that was too lazy by the police investigators, they should have gone to that shop keeper have him/her arrested and charged for handling stolen goods, while in the shop retrieve all the stolen drinks , This would clearly send a message to all those would to be buyers.

    • February 26, 2016

That was my first question. If some raggedy fellow comes up to you with various goods it’s not like you’re going to think, oh, he’s obviously a wholesaler.

    • piece of peace
      February 27, 2016

Ok but where’s the proof that they actually bought goods from this repeated offender. Are you saying the police should just go and arrest the shop keeper because this man who can hardly be trusted poie nts a finger?

Furthermore, what would the proof be? A bottle of rum actually in a rum shop? I agree with the police… this one is a waste of resources to go after and bring to court with zero evidence except the confession of an individual who would likely just point a finger at any shopkeeper he may not like.

ha francois want to eat and drink for free .which in fact he did, he drank a bottle and he will be eating and drinking for free for not 4 but 6 months .”all shall eat all shall drink” i dont know what to really think here .this guy seems to be of sound mind and seems he stole to go jail to continue to live for free or he is at the end of his rope and actually starting to lose his sense of judgement…i say that because of the casual way he admits to the theft .i just don’t know:with the divisive state of our country and with very lil money turning in the poor people hands i expect anything right now…mind you i’m not making excuses for peoples criminal behaviour ya

Am not standing up for the theif causes I hate a thief as much as a drug dealer and criminals they all need to go behind bars and throw away the keys. But just saying wheres the justice

What happens to the person of the grocery shop he sold the stolen goods too? Isn’t that aiding and abetting?

    • February 26, 2016

Government and police are bemoaning the fact that crime is increasing.

For every one who is charged there is one who goes free.

.”All shall eat. All shall drink.” This man is saying he has a right to eat and drink. Is the conclusion then he can steal food and booze to fulfill his right :?: He asks for a longer sentence and is rewarded an additional two months room and board at the tax payers expense. What happened to community service?
      Or (God forbid) hard labour?

A shop keeper bought the stolen goods to resell. If he knew the items were stolen he would be breaking the law. Yet there is no mention of him being charged with anything or even questioned.

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

“All shall eat, all shall drink,” was the response given by Charles Francois of Giraudel when he was informed by the police of reports in relations to items stolen at a guest house.

He now has six months in jail to think of his action.

Now juxtapose that against a man who pled guilty to illegal possession of multiple firearms and escapes a custodial sentence. Not only that, this man has had multiple brushes with the law for some serious illegal activities.

How does that make any sense?
